Hyatt Regency Istanbul Atakoy

We stayed at Hyatt Regency Ataköy for 6 nights, with the first 2 nights as a holiday and the remaining 4 for work. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by several changes that were not communicated before our arrival. On our first evening, we were surprised to learn that the hotel had stopped serving alcohol just three days before our stay. We had planned to celebrate the start of our holiday, so this was a big disappointment, and guests with existing bookings should have been informed in advance.

We were also disappointed that VUE Lounge & Bar was closed for renovation. It is still listed on Booking.com, along with the pool bar, and is even advertised on the hotel's wet wipes. These facilities were part of the reason we chose this hotel. As a result, we had to go to the marina or the neighboring Marriott whenever we wanted to enjoy an evening out.

Another disappointment was the inconsistency in service at the reception. While Gözde always made us feel welcome, the other reception staff often did not greet or acknowledge us when we returned to the hotel, even when they were not assisting other guests. Overall, the lack of communication about these major changes significantly affected our stay and made it different from the experience we expected based on the hotel's description when we booked.

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights while working at an exhibition. The workdays were long, and we spent very little time at the hotel, so the evenings were the main reason we chose this property. We had planned to host business partners from different countries at the hotel's VUE Lounge & Bar, which was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel.
Unfortunately, we were only informed upon arrival that the rooftop restaurant was closed for renovation and that the hotel had stopped serving alcoholic beverages just a few days before our stay. These were significant changes that should have been communicated to guests in advance.
Instead, we had to travel elsewhere every evening after long working days, which was both inconvenient and time-consuming. Had we known about these changes before our trip, we would have chosen a different hotel. The lack of communication had a significant impact on our business stay and the overall experience.

Местоположение неудобное.Рядом парк с грязной пешеходной набережной,по которой подростки носились на мотоциклах.Прямо от отеля выходил сток канализации и при тяге ветра с моря весь этот "аромат" ощущался в лаундж-зоне. Естественно,часть мусора прибивало волнами к берегу и он валялся за парапетом напротив отеля. Чайки,наевшись отходов, в огромном колличестве по утрам забивали открытый бассейн своим присутствием, с удовольствием плавали, мылись и чувствовали себя хозяевами положения. После грязных чаек там купались гости отеля. Кстати вода была очень холодной. Круглые мягкие лежаки с подушками не чистились и не стирались. Наволочки были со следами фикалий чаек и ворон. Номер,при заселении, был не готов. Были пустыми бокс для салфеток, ёмкости для геля и шампуня,не было зубных щёток. Старый фен чуть не загорелся. Завтраки очень скудные. За 10 дней ни разу не менялись. Пару видов омлетов и пережареные пересоленые сосиски. Ехали в Турцию в сезон созревания черешни и клубники, так вот - ни разу не подавались (если не считать кусочков клубники во фруктовом салате). В итоге: очень высокая цена не соответствовала качеству. Год назад были в пятизвёздночном отеле в Эмиратах на две ночи больше,плюс был полупансион, бесплатные трансферы в и из аэропорта, на пляж, и стоило это на 1000€ дешевле чем здесь с меньшим количеством ночей, и только завтраки. Кстати, офис-менеджер Berk Cetin, за то,что мы попались на его уловку с улучшением номера, пообещал (я не совсем понял - в шутку или в серьёз) бутылку вина, которую мы так и не дождались. Так что, не посоветую это отель друзьям

Не работал телефон, просто нет гудка. Не знаю, почему.
Если не оставить чаевых уборке - могут не поставить бесплатную воду. Признаться, такого в отеле с пятью звездами не ожидал; при том, что уборка в номере была ок, но ничего сверх, за что хотелось бы оставить чаевые.

There is no way to order room service online, you have to call. I would expect some kind of a web page or an app through which I could do that.
There was no toilet brush in our room, which felt a bit weird, because there might be a need for it. There was no alternative to how one might clean the toilet and I didn't feel like calling someone to do that for me.
Kind of overpriced transfer from/to airport and minibar items, even for such hotel.
