The View at the White Horse Woolley Moor

The accommodation was superb, very spacious and good view. Meals were excellent as was all of the staff.

The room was spacious and clean. It was very quiet and peaceful. Views over the dales from a private balcony. Staff were friendly. Meals were excellent and we had our evening meal there both nights

Excellent quality rooms with lovely views

Ideal location to visit the peak district. Food was lovely. All the staff were friendly and helpful,including cleaners. We will definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family.

Great for parking and they offered to store our bikes if needed. Room 1 had a great walk in shower. Toiletries provided were nice as was the fresh milk. Also it was nice to have a mini fridge in the room in this hot weather. We enjoyed the spacious seating area and also used the small dining type table to play some games.


The menu in the adjoining pub was varied and reasonably priced and they also had specials.

As the name suggests, the place had a lovely view. We thought it might be noisy as based next to the pub but it was really peaceful.

It was very clean, nicely decorated, comfy & spacious, the staff were great as were the breakfasts & the evening meals we had, it's a very relaxing beautiful place to stay & well situated for everything in the Peak District. we'll definitely be back.

We ate breakfast and dinner for 3 days. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff was wonderful. Our rooms were huge with big bathrooms and a gorgeous view of the hills. The Luxury rooms have king beds and a bath and a big stand-alone shower. That would have been perfect. There was also plenty of parking.

Beautiful and quite location

Great location with fantastic views down the valley. The junior suites are very spacious and comfortable and the landlord and landlady went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was excellent

everything. In particular the balcony which isn't overlooked, so very private and peaceful, and the view across the green roof below & the fields beyond.

The breakfast is excellent. The evening meals offered are also good value and delicious.

What a wonderful place! Honestly, we loved everything about it. We received a very warm welcome on arrival; the rooms were exactly as depicted in the photos and very comfortable; the ensuite bathroom with twin sinks was huge; we were able to sit outside on our private decking and enjoy the glorious peaceful view each evening; the food at dinner and breakfast far exceeded our expectations; the staff were lovely and friendly, and the location was perfect for our visits to Hardwick Hall and Eyam. We couldn't have asked for more and would definitely return if ever in the area again.

The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. We both had the local lamb which was cooked to perfection, with nice selection of vegetable to accompany the dish. The breakfast menu listed all individual items available which allowed us to select exactly what we wanted to eat, such a lovely touch. All staff were professional, pleasant, helpful and polite.
Accommodation was clean, comfortable and spacious with lovely views over the surrounding area.
If we ever stay in the area, we'll definitely return.
