Incredible staff. Admittedly, some of the reviews on this hotel are somewhat accurate. The hotel is a little bit dated, but the staff are truly hospitable and made our stay very enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful and the food is good.
Momen, the man at the towel centre is very friendly and he made sure that our stay was as enjoyable as it possibly could be. We spoke to Momen most days, his English is incredible and he was able to teach us bits of arabic and Egyptian street talk. I honestly can’t stress enough how kind and helpful Momen was to us, and I have never had treatment like this at any hotel I’ve been to before.
Farris, the bar man worked very hard to look after us also, and was very polite.
Raheem, the omelette man at breakfast, was also lovely to talk to in the morning.
Our cleaner, I never caught his name, but the rooms he cleaned were opposite the entrance to reception. Most mornings he’d smile and greet us as we walked by, and he’d check with us if everything was okay with our rooms (it always was).
I think it’s sad because a lot of the other guests during our stay didn’t seem to make an effort to talk to staff or even thank them, but honestly treating the staff with respect and as actual human beings goes a long way (treating anyone like a human being does). So if you want to have an extra special stay at Regency Plaza, please be kind to the hotel staff! That will put you in the minority, and you will stand out in a good way.
Staff I didn’t like: the DJ / music guy, the tattoo man
The only issues I had: my room at the very start of my stay had a fridge that leaked water - however, reception were incredibly helpful and immediately changed me into a better room.
There is a restaurant by the beach that serves hot dogs and burgers at lunch time. I did not like this restaurant as food choices are obviously very limited and you eat off a metal tray. There were a lot of birds that were desperately waiting to pick at your tray once you finish eating. On the other hand, there was a lovely buffet place on the other side of the beach, however you cannot eat there if you don’t have a gold wrist band… We didn’t so we had to trek to the other restaurants from the beach if we wanted to eat (not too much of an issue but not convenient). The main buffet at lunch has chips at the bbq stand. Unless you know they’re fresh, avoid them because the birds pick at the chips. The white wine you get included in the package at dinner isn’t great, the red wine is okay.
Everything else food-wise was actually impressive for an all inclusive hotel, and I never felt uncomfortable or at risk eating any of the food. Egyptian hotels have a reputation for dodgy salads, but this hotel definitely has good food hygiene (apart from the chips mentioned above), and you are safe to eat most things, and drink drinks with ice.
My favourite part of the hotel is the desert place (at extra charge) next to the spa. Honestly, you must give this place a try. They have a proper coffee machine, and they do great desserts. This was our go-to on an evening, and it’s a lovely quiet spot to sit outside and sit together as a family, play games, chat, etc.
The italian a la carte is excellent, the pizza and pasta restaurant at lunch time is good. Our favourite restaurant was the mexican at lunch and the place above it at dinner time.
On the whole, you are set to have a very good family holiday if you book at this hotel! Especially if you are kind and respectful to staff. Thank you to everyone at Regency Plaza for making our stay so pleasant
This is very ni e hotel very good Ford nice staff nice servisse perfect Anna custode servire brillante housekeepingvgrwat reception all.staff and.managment are perfect
We are having a lovely time at this hotel. The territory is massive so prepare to walk around. The entire hotel is split into several areas (active vs quiet) so it’s up to everyone to choose where they’d like to stay. We came to the hotel with our children (5,8 years) so we mostly stayed by the water park zone where they got a bunch of slides and a nice heated pool. Lifeguards are taking great care of everyone’s safety in the water. The entire staff are lovely, always happy to help with anything. Pool staff have our towels and sunbeds prepared waiting for us each morning. Our houskeeper does a meticulous job keeping the room clean and tidy not to mention the lovely towel art on our beds that make our children smile each time we return to the room. There are bars all around the resort so wherever we stayed we always had one close by and the service was great in all of them. The beach is really looked after. Entertainment team are easy to notice by their bright green shirts - they bring a lot of positive energy all around, got plenty activities during the day and the try their best getting everyone to participate. We joined them for dancing, water aerobics and yoga classes. Evening shows are interesting to watch as well, everything is happening at the amphitheatre right outside the lobby so the noise doesn’t reach the rooms. We really enjoyed the fire show. Our holiday is going amazing, we are already considering to return here again next year.
We have had a great experience here at regency plaza. Room 5105 was a bit run down and lost hot water once but it was fixed quickly and we were well looked after by Malak. And other wanderlust staff at the Restaurants, Pools and Bars.
As said in some other reviews all a bit tired but it's far from bad. Food ok plenty of it, it does take a while to get to know where everything is. Pools good beach is the best bit . Staff all very good and friendly especially Mohamed sadrey our house keeper for block A always smiling and checking we have everything..
I had the pleasure of staying at the Regency Plaza Aqua Park and Spa in Sharm El Sheikh for the second time, from March 20th to 29th, staying with my friend Vitalija in room 1716. Once again, I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is a vast and beautifully maintained resort, with an abundance of greenery—immaculate lawns, trees, and gardens that are clearly tended to with great care. I must thank the entire gardening team for their hard work and dedication. The animators, especially Tony and his team, also made our stay exceptional, with daily Zumba classes, evening shows, and a vibrant atmosphere. The DJs provided fantastic music in the club, and we thoroughly enjoyed the nightlife. I would also like to extend my gratitude to our room attendant, Elsayed, whose attentive service and thoughtful towel art surprised us daily. Ibrahim at the terrace bar was always welcoming, remembering our preferences, and ensuring we felt at home. The spa services were another highlight—professional massages that left us feeling truly rejuvenated. The food was outstanding; we dined at both the Fish Market and Italian restaurants, and both offered delicious cuisine. The room location was perfect—centrally located, just minutes from the dining area, nightlife, and beach. The beach area was equally outstanding—meticulously maintained, with comfortable sunbeds and attentive staff who ensured we were always taken care of. The bar team on the beach was top-tier—friendly, professional,I must thank the entire team for their dedication. Overall, this is a superb hotel—clean, green, with a fantastic beach, and a professional, friendly staff. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning.
We have stayed at The Regency Plaza Numerous times, and will keep coming back. The main reason is the staff.
The staff at Regency Plaza are 6 stars 🌟 Let’s start with the pool staff, Jehad (the boss) really looks after us each time. Sun beds perfectly positioned, towels laid out on the beds, with pillows, just perfect. Jehad has a band of helpers who are all so polite and friendly 👌 it really makes a difference to get this superb service.
Many thanks Jehad 🙏🙏🙏🙏
See you again soon 👌😎😎
For the time being as we still have ten days to go we just want to show our appreciation for Ahmed our room cleaner. We are in the Romance area of the hotel.
He has so far been outstanding with attention to details
He has given us beautiful towel art everyday and is willing to do anything you ask of him.
Good hotel overall. Very large area, kids heated swimming pool. Nice slides, suitable for kids and adults.
Plenty of food.
Nice and friendly staff, bringing drinks to the table all the time.
Especially thank you for the housekeeper Abdul-Aleem always keeping tidy room and making nice suprises on a bed!
Mohammed our cleaner went above and beyond, attention to detail, first class service 👏
Malak was a very good person,he really made our room very comfortable all the time(room 5106,5105)
Written from two young girls in their early 20s:
We have just returned home from Regency Plaza and how sad we are to be leaving. We didn’t know what to expect as we had seen some mixed reviews before arriving.
The hotel reception team were so friendly, and spoke good English. One of our friends had an issue with the fridge in their room, as soon as we spoke to reception about a room change, they were so helpful and helped move him straight away.
Absolutely no complaints with regards to the food, we particularly enjoyed the oriental À la cart restaurant, again, very friendly and attentive staff.
What truly made our holiday special, though, was the incredible staff. A special mention has to go to Momen, who went above and beyond for us every single day. He always made sure we had sunbeds ready and saved for us, which made such a difference and took all the stress out of finding a good spot. Also when one day we decided to sit by the beach, he called a colleague who works on the beach and he then reserved the best sun beds on the beach for us. He was always so friendly, welcoming, funny and genuinely cared that we were having a great time. (I have put the pictures in with him). He completely made our holiday the best and he is someone we will never forget.
A few other mentions, Ferdy the lifeguard always very friendly, and works very hard, as well as his boss. Farez the bartender round the pool was always very kind and attentive, he worked very hard all day.
Raheem the omelette man was so friendly, and always made a fuss of us every morning. What a lovely man. Adham in the main restaurant was so attentive and kind. He was so hard working and always made sure everything with our meal was okay. He has the nicest smile, and we looked forward to seeing him everyday.
Mohamed the sand man was such a lovely man. He is absolutely incredible. He makes amazing patterns and writing out of sand, he sits by the pool next to the Italian lunch restaurant. You must go and have a look!
Mums ļoti patika, personāls ir lielisks! Īpaši vēlamies uzslavēt Ernad - F.D no Ivory restorāna kā arī Mohammed Rapwan no apkalpošana numuriņā. We really enjoyed it, the staff is great! We would especially like to praise Ernad - F.D from Ivory restaurant as well as Mohammed Rapwan from room service.
I had such a beautiful experience at the Regency. The place is lovely and so relaxing, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming—they really make you feel comfortable. I’ll definitely choose it again next time.
The best part was meeting Bob—he did a henna design on my hand and he’s incredibly talented. He made me laugh so much too, such a memorable personality. I truly enjoyed my time… I guess I got lucky 🔥❤️
Best hotel ever in sharm . Hotel renew everything. Become really amazing. 9 restaurants with great food. Rooms very clean. Pools very clean also . Staff were amazing every where . Thanks so much for amazing front office team Mr Othman, Mr Omar. Mr hosam. Definitely will back again.

Well 2nd time lucky they say and how right that is this is our 2nd visit to the regency plaza hotel when we arrived we were treated by Ali who we met last year he was so happy to see us and his face showed it then when we went to the restaurant and we were remembered by Mohammad the restaurant manager and then we were acting like the last visit was yesterday which was brilliant then it was time to go the pool when again we were met by Gehad are towel man who is brilliant from last year and his face was a picture the shock of seeing us was like (I swear I saw tears in his eyes ) but truth be told we felt exactly the same then everyday we had the same beds with them all done ready for us and his pillow's are a great idea now when we returned to the room we were met with what I can only describe as towel art because Ahmed the cleaner was absolutely brilliant in leaving us a different thing everyday (the hanging monkey he did was brilliant) hanging it from the door frame then we also met chef Mohammad from last year who even changed his holiday to see us and his meals were something special in the oriental restaurant and the Mexican downstairs was brilliant also chef Mohammad thank you but in total we have to say thank you to all the staff I've mentioned and the other staff who helped make are stay stress free and relaxing also I must mention Amir in the pizza and pasta bar who was brilliant and we enjoyed the food so much we are now rebooking for next year
Second time in Sharm el Sheikh and also to the same resort same like last year.
Good location.Atmosphere very good, all staff good and whit experience. Good food
Rooms very clean and the guy Mohamed hard worker guy.
In the spa we have also a good experience.
Nice hotel, good food and very good personal. Special thanks to the SPA personal.
We stayed at the Regency for the seventh time after a year and are once again more than thrilled with the service. There are further renovations; although we had an old room, it came with a fantastic view of the beach and the beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The quality of the food has improved overall, as have the dining options available during the day. We really liked the buffet at the Oriental and at the Mexican restaurant.
What makes this hotel special are the ambitious and friendly people who work there. Every wish is fulfilled immediately whenever possible. For European guests there is a new contact person, Anna, who tirelessly works to make guests happy, which she accomplishes in an unparalleled way with reliability, diligence, and warmth. She is an absolute asset to the hotel and its guests!
We would also like to highlight the service of Mr. Hossam at the reception as well as the head chef Kahled from the Royal Restaurant, who still prepares the best spaghetti arrabbiata we have ever had in a hotel. He should instruct the kitchen staff at Camello—they could learn a lot from him (here there was a noticeable decline in the food compared to last year)! Thanks also to Mr. Loay for his warm hospitality.
As before, a Soul Animation Team is active at the Regency, providing a minimal level of entertainment—no more and no less—and thus representing the most bored animation team we have experienced in hotels. While they make special efforts for a few guests according to criteria that are not apparent to us, the rest of the guests are completely ignored. Unless they want to sell tickets for the disco tour. Otherwise, the guests are not noticed; instead, the animators walk through the hotel, demonstratively look away, or stand around occupied with their phones. Guests are not invited or informed; for example, it took us three evenings to realize that the show does not start at 9:30 p.m. as announced in writing everywhere, but at 9:00 p.m. Before and after the show NOTHING happens! It is very tiring to wait for the hotel’s own Grotto Disco to open around 11:30 p.m. One evening we did so like other guests and stood in front of a locked door. The next day, when we asked, we were told that the disco had a “day off,” which nobody knew about—again an unnecessary and annoying, clear transparency problem. The animator we spoke to obviously didn’t care about the feedback—we even received a snide remark instead of an expression of regret.
The massages at the hotel were once again very good, and the wonderful time at the Regency passed far too quickly!
If the attitude and the evening program of the animation team were to change, this hotel would truly be perfect.
