Smell of Indian food / spices reported in office and some rooms

Categories

Cleanliness
8.5
Generally praised as clean and tidy in multiple reviews (rooms described as very clean), but isolated reports of a dirty floor, grout needing attention and one guest reporting a rash possibly linked to bedding/bodywash lower this score slightly.
Service
10
Staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, professional and accommodating (late check-in assistance, considerate service). Multiple mentions of good service justify a top score.
Location
10
Frequently highlighted as a strong point: central, convenient, walking distance to train/town, supermarkets nearby and easy access to the highway; highly consistent positive mentions.
Room Quality
9
Rooms often described as comfortable with good bedding and strong hot showers; some minor negatives noted (bathroom damage, occasional road noise, one bedding-related rash) so a high but not perfect score is appropriate.
Amenities
8.5
Basic amenities are present (reasonable wifi, hot water, parking) but there are limitations: no cooking facilities beyond a microwave, no free bottled water, and occasional disturbances from other guests/spa usage.
Value for Money
9.5
Multiple guests explicitly mention good price, good value and that the stay was 'ok for the price' or 'good value', supporting a very strong score for value.
Food and Beverage
7.5
Negative mentions include a persistent smell of Indian food/spices in the office and rooms and the absence of complimentary bottled water; limited positive mentions regarding F&B, so this category is the weakest.
Overall Experience
9
Overall sentiment is positive—many guests would stay again, praising location, cleanliness and service—with some recurring minor issues (noise, occasional smells, minor maintenance) reflected in a strong overall score matching the target.
