Cons:

Upon arrival we checked into our room, no instructions were given in regards to check in, we were given a key and had to find the room on our own. When we asked about breakfast we were told the cafe was closed and it wasnt until we asked again later that we were informed the continental breakfast was available (bread and cereal)
We went to our room and went to go look at the pool that was advertised while booking. the pool was 'under construction' and unavailable for the entirety of our stay even though it is still being advertised. when we approached staff we were told 'they tried to remove the advertisement' and they insisted booking.com wasnt advertising the pool, they would not accept that it was until we brought up the website and showed them.
We were offered a 10% discount on our stay but opted instead for a room upgrade as compensation. when we checked into this 'upgraded room' and attempted to shower the shower base flooded and water came out the sink in the kitchen, clearly a major plumbing issue. we then moved rooms again after the staff member came to assess the issue and informed us she would call a plumber the next day.
overall an unfortunate and disappointing stay.

A comfortable place to stay
Pros:

An older but comfortable property. Located in Golden Square area. A little way out from the city but convenient. Not too far from Central Deborah Mine. About 10 min to a shopping centre. 5 min drive to Beechworth Bakery. Good parking, large rooms. Everything functional. A few scuffs but that’s just superficial. Staff were great.

Cons:

Just be aware, it’s a little further out if you wanted to get around without having to drive, but I was well aware of the location when booking so it wasn’t an issue for us

The beds! And the place was well kept, parking availability. Staff were easy and friendly to deal with and accomodating.

Cons:

Nothing to do with the property but we didn't have the time to appreciate the facilities ( cafe & pool) due to our shedule.
