Pros:

Our experience as black dual citizens of Kenya/America was terrible from the very get go. When we got to the entrance we were met with oh you are going to the restaurant? And we said no we are checking in. Next thing we experienced was at check in we wanted attached room because it was mom and 2 kids and a sister that was going to watch kids when I wake up to Run….they gave us keys to attached rooms but they were not attached. The check in staff didn’t even know what rooms were attached. Room 12 smelled like Mold. Ok we moved on. We were walking to the restaurant/beach and along the walk we asked the garden staff if this was the way to the beach and they asked for our room number? I let it go and we went to the restaurant and coming back from the beach my daughter is asking the security guy where is the swimming pool and and I asked the security guy can we come in and he said no and I said why not and he said because it’s only for residents and I said we are staying here and he let us in and then we were followed by security to the pool with my daughter to verify our stay again?? For black people we don’t deserve to stay here?

Breakfast at Nomad Beach Bar & Restaurant ☕🍳
Pros:

… 🥥🌴 Breakfast at Nomad Beach Bar & Restaurant ☕🍳 …

Some mornings aren't meant to be rushed.

They're meant for slow coffee, good conversations, ocean breezes and a breakfast worth waking up for. 🌊✨

Nestled on the white sands of Diani Beach, @Nomadbeachbar has long mastered the art of slow coastal living. Their menu celebrates the best of the coast—fresh local ingredients, global inspiration, and dishes that let the produce do the talking. 🥗🍍

This morning, I went for their vegan breakfast platter... and legendary isn't an exaggeration. 🌱👌🏾 Every bite was fresh, colourful and beautifully put together.

Across the table, my colleague @Latoyaflows was happily diving into her oozy eggs 🍳 while we caffeinated, scribbled through our notes, and prepared for another day hosting a corporate retreat at the Nomad Beach Resort Villas.

Even Oliver Mzungu; the Operations Manager, joined us for breakfast—a reminder that great hospitality often starts with people who genuinely love the spaces they create. 🤍

And if you're staying at the resort...

**Please don't sleep through breakfast.** 😅🥐

Their all-inclusive breakfast buffet is one of Diani's quiet luxuries.

What I also love is Nomad's commitment to sustainability. 🌿 Their organic farm supplies seasonal produce directly to the kitchen, supporting local farmers while reducing food miles. Guests can even purchase their fresh, pesticide-free harvests to take home. 🍅🥬

It's thoughtful hospitality—from farm to fork. 🌍💚

📍 @Nomadbeachbar
🕡 Open daily

🍽️ Cuisine: International casual dining, fresh seafood, Italian pizzas & an excellent wine selection 🍷

🌾 Gluten-free options available
🌱 100% Vegan? No
♿ Wheelchair friendly
📦 Takeaway available

🌍 Sustainability Highlights:

♻️ Food scraps and garden cuttings are composted.
🍾 Upcycled glass features throughout the restaurant.
🐟 Proud supporters of a Sustainable Seafood Policy.
🌱 Organic, pesticide-free produce grown on the Nomad Farm.

One breakfast closer to understanding why Nomad remains one of Diani's classics. 🌴💙

Honeymoon
Pros:

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our 12 day honeymoon in Kenya. We went in June, which is the "cold season", but the temperatures were in the 80's and the water was still very warm. The resort was very quiet, but it does allow children so that volume can change, especially by the pool area. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!! The décor of the rooms were a bit underwhelming, if your into a nice aesthetic of the room it might be a bit disappointing, butttt with a beach as beautiful as Diani Beach, you should not be in your room anyway! Happy Travels!

A perfect choice for a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable stay in Diani Beach
Pros:

A wonderful stay in one of the best places in Diani Beach

We absolutely loved our stay at Nomad Hotel Diani Beach. The hotel is beautiful, with a stunning view, lovely surroundings, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent — the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help.

The restaurant also deserves a special mention: the food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Breakfast and dinner were both a real pleasure.

This is definitely a place we would love to come back to.

We visited the Nomad resort to celebrate our honeymoon and wasn't disappointed. The resort was beautiful, with plenty to do and a range of great food. What really made the stay special was the staff who were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful long beach
Pros:

Thoughtfully decorated rooms and environment. Lots of space, great facilities. Food was very good and staff friendly and helpful. Beach bar a bit busy on weekends as open to public but it is separated from hotel facilities. Beautiful beach- big tidal reach but 30m beach left even at high tide and at low tide huge expanse. Beach sellers keen but not intrusive. Would recommend

Pros:

This is the perfect location on a beautiful quiet beach, with, or close to, many amenities. The sea facing villas are amazing and well equipped and comfortable. Three great restaurant options, as well as room service on your private veranda (although keep an eye out for the fast monkeys)!
Another attraction is the area of forest around Nomad, owned and protected by Nomad, with fascinating guides. With more and more development along the coast destroying the forest, I will go back to Nomad because of their care for this sacred space (as well as all the other benefits already mentioned!).

Cons:

Honestly cannot think of anything I did not like.

Pros:
