My work involves frequent international travel and, consequently, regular stays in hotels. While the Kochi Marriott may not be the most lavishly appointed hotel I have encountered during my travels, it surpasses almost every other hotel I have stayed in where it matters most: the exceptional quality of its people and the service they provide.

Every single member of staff whom my colleagues and I encountered was outstanding — combining genuine warmth and friendliness with remarkable professionalism and efficiency.

We felt truly welcomed from the moment we arrived, beginning with the security personnel at the entrance, whose names I regrettably did not note, and continuing throughout our stay from 2–8 August 2026. Against this backdrop of consistently excellent service, a number of individuals stood out through their extraordinary care, and I feel it is important to acknowledge them by name.

Our hotel drivers, Nithin and Alan, were superb. They went far beyond simply transporting us from place to place. They were knowledgeable, attentive and unfailingly courteous, and throughout our journeys they gave us a genuine sense of being looked after, protected and safe.

The team at the Executive Lounge, so ably led by Shan, were consummate professionals. Krishna, Jiya, Amrutha and Disha made us feel genuinely comfortable and cared for, particularly when we returned after long and demanding days. Their warmth made the lounge feel less like a hotel facility and more like a place where we could genuinely relax.

The food throughout our stay was excellent. Special thanks must go to Asish Kumar Singh, Executive Sous Chef, whose personalised attention was greatly appreciated.

The concierge team, Naheem and Shravan, were always ready to help, including when we faced complicated travel problems requiring flights to be rebooked and replacement documents to be printed. Their calm efficiency at moments when we particularly needed assistance made an enormous difference.

The dining team — Naveen, Alvin, Prateek, Fireboy, Sagar, Sreeraj, Geon, Bimal and Changhoineng — ensured, meal after meal, that we were comfortable and exceptionally well looked after. Their manager, Mohosin, was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. Vishwanathan, the Duty Manager, was simply superlative. We thank all of them and will remember their kindness with great fondness.

For a hotel blessed with staff of this calibre, I believe the experience could be enhanced still further through a few relatively simple additions that we have encountered at other international hotels. The Marriott might consider offering guests booking Executive Rooms greater flexibility with early check-in and late check-out, together with complimentary laundry for a defined number of items each day. For frequent business travellers in particular, these small conveniences can make an enormous difference and may encourage more guests to pay the additional cost of booking an Executive Room.

Overall, however, our experience was exceptional. Buildings and facilities matter, but ultimately it is people who make a hotel memorable — and the people of the Kochi Marriott made our stay unforgettable.

If I have the privilege of returning to Kochi, the Kochi Marriott will unquestionably be my first choice.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Kochi Marriott! The hotel has a beautiful ambience, spacious and spotless rooms, and the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were extremely courteous, warm and attentive throughout our stay. The breakfast spread was excellent with a great variety of options. The location right next to Lulu Mall is also extremely convenient. Overall, it was a very comfortable and memorable experience. Would definitely love to stay here again whenever I’m in Kochi!

Staff were very attentive during check in as well as during breakfast although it was full house at the restaurant.

I had room service twice during my stay and Dipan was the one who delivered the foods. He had remarkably excellent genuine hospitality and warmth. He was so detailed to make sure that I got the food that I asked.

Excellent location. Their staffs are very courteous and handles all requirements of guests in a prompt manner. Would definitely recommend this place for your comfy stay at Kochi.

Even though we didn't inform Marriott about my birthday they threw in a surprise with a squeaky clean room which was decorated with balloons & a Chocolate cake garnished with grated coconut which was yummy indeed . I was wondering how did they knew about this special day then I guessed it may be due to my Marriott Bonvoy membership it was a very thoughtful gesture as we were not expecting these.
On our arrival right from the security, reception, restaurant all the staff were very warm friendly & polite & helpful it was really a feel at home kinda feeling A Big thank you to team Marriott for a memorable stay @ Marriot Cochin .

Once again my experience here at this hotel was wonderful. From the moment entering hotel and greeted like family to the cleanliness of the rooms and excellent service. The breakfast is always exceptional and the evening executive lounge is well Presented. Always appreciate the hiring of disadvantaged personal. Highly recommend this hotel.
