Loved everything about the GHH.Perfect location & view over the 3 cities & the Valletta grand harbour.Room 601 was large & perfect for our 6 night stay.We used the rooftop terrace every night to watch fireworks, sip wine & watch the ships/boats coming & going.
Staff are super friendly & helpful with local food recommendations.Excellent bar & restaurant options within 50 metres. The room was serviced daily & was spotless, really comfy bed!

A bit smelly in the bathroom
Hotel is located in a perfect spot in Valletta, close to all historic buildings but away from main crowds, near good restaurants, overlooking the Grand Harbour and near the bus hub. We even saw fireworks two times across the harbour. The stuff was very helpful, the room had incredible views and for most of the nights was really quiet. Even on special couple nights the bends would stop playing nice music around 11pm. Breakfasts were filling and had many choices of food, pastry, juices and fruits.
If I come back to Malta, I would definitely stay in the same hotel, and would recommend it to all of my friends.

No fridge. For Malta in augus without AC and fridge is criminal… is better to see what is included in room description before you booked

The location was great and this was my major request. It was on the top of the hill where all historic places are. Breakfast was decent, with fresh canolis baked every morning. Beds were comfortable.
After checking in to the room I discovered that it did not have a balcony, contrary to the room description. The front desk person got in a bitter argument with me, that if I wanted to have a balcony I had to request it. I tried to combat that statement with an obvious: why would I place a request for something which is part of a room description? It would be the same as to place a request for the clean towels or toilet paper. On the top of the ruined mood, I was told that if I don't like the room I can just return my key and look for another hotel, and I have to do it right now. Needless to say my arrival mood to Malta was ruined. Luckily, later I realized that having a balcony would take some portion of light penetrating to the room, however, those thoughts were just part of a process of how to reconcile the reality with expectations, I should not have gone through this kind of search for self-reassurement. So, just because all their room descriptions include a balcony, it does not guarantee you will have one. Honestly, it would not matter so much to me if the balconies were not such a big deal for Valetta, being almost a signature attribute of the city center historic buildings.

Nice hotel, lovely staff and an excellent breakfast. The view from the top is beyond stunning.
It's would be nice to have an umbrella shade on the roof as it was extremely hot, but it was fab anyway.
