Breakfast was the let down!!!
Pros:

Unbelievable location and a short walk from the Station car park
Lift to reception and swift check in
Great room with a broken/twisted lock on bathroom door!!!
Rest perfect in every way…../
Out around the Toon and slept like a baby in a very hard bed.
Great shower and off to breakfast at 09.00
Very busy so just took a seat as it was crazy in the self service area and not helped by people staying to read the complimentary newspapers!!!
Twice tried to get some food but the cupboards were bare!!! Third visit was minced scrambled egg and hard over and reheated bacon ….. what a downer!!!
Ended up with beans and had to leave having waited for the fresh supplies which weren’t forthcoming!!!

Great location for this decent hotel which needs better lifts
Pros:

First off, it is located directly opposite Newcastle Central Station so if arriving by train it is ideal. The biggest gripe is that reception is on the 2nd floor and it can be quite the wait for the lift to the reception. After the efficient check in there is likely another long wait for the lift to the room. At least after that point the lift can be direct between the street level and the room. However, there are only 2 lifts but it feels like they need more, especially when busy.

The room we had was nice and a decent size. Really good value for money. Breakfast was not the greatest I have had in a Hilton hotel but it was OK.

Exactly What You'd Expect
Pros:

Literally across the road from the train station which is very convenient. Don't be put off by the grim little entrance way, once you're at Reception it's good.
The room I had was very nice, quite big enough and certainly clean.
Walked up the High Street were there is plenty to choose from in terms of places to eat.
Breakfast in the hotel is exactly what you'd expect; a decent choice, clean and tidy.

Prima locatie in het centrum en superhandig voor de transfer vanaf de ferry. Comfortabele kamer. Vriendelijk personeel.

Cons:

Er hadden wat meer soorten brood en vers fruit bij het ontbijt mogen zijn. Verder was het prima.

Walked out of the train station crossed the road and we were at the hotel. Shops, restaurants and bars on the doorstep.
