The pools and bar area made the stay. Just wonderful

The hot springs pools and tubs are definitely the best thing about this property. They are situated so that there are extraordinary views while soaking in the hot tubs. And the grounds with flowers and fire pits are perfect.
Our room was not good. It was arranged weird with a long narrow room - the tv was beside the bed and there wasn’t a comfortable chair. It seemed like maybe this room used to be a storage closet and was converted. I would definitely ask for a different room if we return.

Convenience, comfort, and kindness of staff. In addition loved the brunch. Best of our 2 week vacation in Colorado!
It would have been great if we had a little better ventilation during the heat wave.

Es wurde 100 Dollar mehr abgebucht, weil man vom Hotel eine Sicherheitsgebühr für das Zimmer erhoben hat. Diese wurde nach check out nicht zurücküberwiesen. Trotz 3maliger Email keine Reaktion. Das ist Betrug oder Schlamperei.
Im Frühstücksraum sind die Tische immer klebrig, die Qualität des Essens ist Massenware. Das Mineschaft Restaurant brachte einen verbrannten Burger und es dauerte ewig. Einmal und nie wieder! Alles wirkt schon sehr muffig und angestaubt bzw billig.
The pools and hot springs are wonderful. The landscaping is beautiful. All of the staff, and especially the bar tender at the Tiki Bar were personable, polite, and customer friendly. The manager/owner? was not.
After our first night, when we reported that our air conditioner was making popping noises (we shut it off so we could sleep) the manager/owner? informed us he would put in a maintenance request, but also stated they were very busy and our problem might not be addressed. When my husband asked about another room, he informed us maintenance would make that decision. A lot of power in the maintenance staff at this resort! He also said, "A lot of our air conditioners make popping sounds."
Also, it seems like the pet-friendly rooms are not the same quality of room as others shown in the lodge's advertising. These rooms are begging for serious renovation and updating. With a $50 per night ($25 higher than we paid in a very nice hotel in Santa Fe, NM) pet fee plus taxes, it seems like travelers with pets should be treated equally witth other guests.

Would have preferred a room closer to the pools, might be something to look into for another visit.

Our room was far from the amenities and fronting heavy equipment and looked like a junk yard. The room is very small and dated and had a spider in the bathroom.
