This was my second time staying here, and once again, it was a wonderful experience.
The first time I visited was a few years ago on a girls' birthday trip in the fall. While we initially encountered an issue with the cleanliness of our room, the staff addressed it quickly and made it right, which I really appreciated.
This visit was even more memorable. I came with my boyfriend and my friend Sam, and during our stay, my boyfriend proposed to me at the top of the Via Ferrata! It was such a beautiful experience, and this property will forever be connected to one of the happiest memories of my life.
One of my favorite things about staying here is the unlimited access to the hot springs throughout the stay. We spent a lot of time soaking and relaxing, and this time I also got to enjoy the newer sauna area, which I hadn't experienced on my first visit. Everything was wonderful.
The breakfast was absolutely incredible—honestly one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. It was far beyond what I expected and was a highlight of our stay.
The manager was so friendly and welcoming, and both front desk gentlemen I interacted with were fantastic. They were kind, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay enjoyable. I had booked through Booking.com and was disappointed to learn that my reservation placed us in the building across the street. One of the front desk staff members took the time to explain that booking directly through the hotel in the future would likely be less expensive and would allow me to ensure a room in the main lodge next to the hot springs. I really appreciated his honesty and helpfulness.
The location is perfect—right next to Box Canyon, close to town, and surrounded by beautiful views. The combination of the scenery, hot springs, excellent staff, and overall experience is exactly why I couldn't wait to return.
I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ouray.

There is so much to love here. The hot springs are amazing, the views are beautiful, and the location is perfect—right next to Box Canyon and close to town. One of my favorite parts of staying here is having access to the hot springs throughout the entire stay. We spent a lot of time enjoying them, and I was excited to experience the newer sauna area this visit. The breakfast was also incredible—easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had.

There were a few things that could be improved. The property is fairly expensive, even during what seemed to be the off-season. I was surprised to learn bottled water in the room cost $2 each, and robes were an additional $5 rental fee. I've stayed at many hotels and have never encountered charges for those items, so that caught me off guard.
There was also a camera or device near one of the pools that was beeping repeatedly for over an hour, which made it difficult to relax.
El paisaje y desayuno
Nada todo bien
Me gusto todo muy limpio todo en orden
Restaurant staff not accommodating
Location was stupendous and the hot tubs were nice as expected. Breakfast buffet was nice but the $19.99 cost if not included in room rate still seems steep.
Staff was not welcoming, particularly at check-in. I also think it's a little unusual to charge a "resort fee" but the tiki bar wasn't accessible and there were no amenities provided for the "resort fee"and you still had to pay $5 extra to use a robe.
Loved the location of the property, close to the downtown and to the box Canyon. We really enjoyed the Hot Springs on the hotel property as well and the hot breakfast. The staff we’re very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean, but were a little bit dated. I had reserved a Riverview room and thought somehow I had a River view, but it was only a window that was next to the sink,. I should have read better. There was no balcony on my reservation and I had assumed the Riverview location had balconies.
Location and friendly staff
Dirty hot springs pools. Algae and slippery hot springs pools.
It was a great layout and close to everything
Nothing
I booked a lower level room but when I arrived they put us up on the 2nd floor. I have a heart condition and my husband is an amputee. It was though getting our luggage up and down the stairs. This was disappointing to us.
Excellent location tucked away in Box Canyon but still only a few blocks to walk to the main street with restaurants and shoppes. Big delicious buffet breakfast with really good food! Best Blondie i’ve ever had.
The massive new hot springs remodel is gorgeous with several hot pools of varying temps and a big warm main pool. Tiki bar had good drinks but very slow service. Mineshaft restaurant on site also had very slow service, food was just eh - seems like theres only a handful of people who work here and they all do a million jobs at once.
The only thing “modern” was the check in process on a kiosk where your room cards are printed. Cost was worth it just to have access to the hot springs on site - it was so nice we didn’t even need to go see the public springs in town, kids were fine staying on site.
Note that if you bring dogs you will be downstairs in the back in the G rooms which are alongside a rushing river, which sounds lovely. However, it does feel pretty run down and rustic back there and its a walk to get to the main building that has the hot springs, so imagine a lot of people roaming the small dirt roads in their spa robes going to and from room to springs.
The room was your typical small “motel” type room and while they upgraded the tv to a massive smart tv, the rest of the room was outdated and old. Beds were comfy but small. Luckily you arent in the room much bcs there is so much to explore in Ouray.
The main property was well kept.
The property has rooms across the street and down a little alley. Very difficult to find and park. Check in was done on a machine with a big screen. It is pretty easy to follow. But shows that the property cares zero about customer service. After I checked in with the machine and got my key, I went to the front desk and the only information I was given was that my room was across the street. I had to ask specifically where it was. I also, had to ask about the facilities. The are outside the rooms across the street was not kept up well. Weeds, on old camper trailer with other junk was in front of the room. The whole experience was cold and not what you would expect for a $300 room. This property does not care about customer service. Also, there was a $100 incidentals charge that is reimbursed but I was told it could take up to 5 to 7 days for the reimbursement. That seems like a long time.
Location was great. Pools nice. Staff understanding. Changed our room with no extra charge
there was construction everywhere. No one mentioned that! Little things like being charged $5 per robe used .. That was hanging in the room. This in addition to the $40 nightly resort fee Breakfast steward was wonderful, the breakfast immaculately kept. The tables were sticky from being vanished and were nasty, boss knows but won't add paper placemats or cloths....too expensive? The gate to springs pools is huge and heavy and many have to ask how to get in.... I suggested a sign at the gate, the worker who helped said they suggest a remote,.... Boss says too expensive. In town when people asked where we were staying, and we told them, they laughed and said we were paying for the new hot springs.
Its a stretch to call the pools two pools. Guess they are, but come on. 3 feet of cement separating them. Water in room is $2 a bottle ... Not sure if that was on.bill
Breakfast was decent but cooks walked around pulling there pants up so not a great look
Room was in poor condition the tile was popping up, coffee maker didn't make hot coffee
