SHAME ON THE GRAND HOTEL QUISISANA

The Grand Hotel Quisisana is no longer “grand” in my eyes.

During my visit, I was deeply disturbed to see that the Israeli flag that had been displayed on the portico over the hotel’s front entrance had been removed. For Jewish guests and visitors who see that flag as a symbol of solidarity and belonging, its removal sends a profoundly hurtful message.

A luxury hotel that prides itself on international hospitality should make all of its guests feel welcome and safe—not create an atmosphere in which Jewish guests feel uncomfortable or unwelcome.

This is not simply about a flag. It is about what a hotel chooses to communicate to its guests and to the world. At a time when antisemitism is a very real concern, removing a visible symbol of support for Israel is particularly troubling.

The Quisisana has a long and prestigious history, but prestige means very little without principles.

I am extremely disappointed. SHAME ON THE GRAND HOTEL QUISISANA.

The nicest hotel we've ever stayed in.
Pros:

Absolutely the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in. We toured Italy on a Luxury Gold tour in May. All the hotels were beautiful but this place is stupendous.

Everything about the hotel was marvelous. Best rooms, fabulous food, staff and two beautiful tennis courts.

This was our third stay at the Grand Hotel Quisisana, and unfortunately it will also be our last.

The hotel is still in a fantastic location in the heart of Capri, with elegant common areas and the level of service you would expect from a historic luxury property. However, this visit was disappointing because of the room we were assigned.

Our room was located right next to the housekeeping storage area. While the noise itself wasn’t excessive, we were constantly running into housekeeping carts, chairs, cabinets and cleaning equipment every time we stepped outside. It definitely took away from the overall experience and didn’t feel appropriate for a hotel of this category.

What made it even more disappointing is that we emailed the hotel several days before our arrival, mentioning that we were returning guests and hoping for a slightly more thoughtful room assignment. Instead, we received the exact opposite.

A great hotel in a prime location, but this experience left us feeling undervalued as returning guests.

The Best place on the Magical Island of Capri!
Pros:

The Quisisana is one of the most special places in the world! Capri is magical and this hotel is in the best location on the Island. The staff of the hotel from check-in to every other department is superb. The Pool is wonderful! Bar Quisi is the best bar on the Island. The Concierge are the absolute BEST! I cannot say enough about how SPECIAL the Grand Hotel Quisisana is! Thanks to everyone who is always so nice and how special the hotel is, we continue to come back year after year!

Luxury Resort in Center of Capri
Pros:

Family trip, booked three rooms. Very expensive and worth it. Great location in center of town. Outdoor front bar was a great place to relax, have a drink and people watch. Gym was well equipped but small.
