This was our third stay at the Grand Hotel Quisisana, and unfortunately it will also be our last.

The hotel is still in a fantastic location in the heart of Capri, with elegant common areas and the level of service you would expect from a historic luxury property. However, this visit was disappointing because of the room we were assigned.

Our room was located right next to the housekeeping storage area. While the noise itself wasn’t excessive, we were constantly running into housekeeping carts, chairs, cabinets and cleaning equipment every time we stepped outside. It definitely took away from the overall experience and didn’t feel appropriate for a hotel of this category.

What made it even more disappointing is that we emailed the hotel several days before our arrival, mentioning that we were returning guests and hoping for a slightly more thoughtful room assignment. Instead, we received the exact opposite.

A great hotel in a prime location, but this experience left us feeling undervalued as returning guests.

The Best place on the Magical Island of Capri!
Pros:

The Quisisana is one of the most special places in the world! Capri is magical and this hotel is in the best location on the Island. The staff of the hotel from check-in to every other department is superb. The Pool is wonderful! Bar Quisi is the best bar on the Island. The Concierge are the absolute BEST! I cannot say enough about how SPECIAL the Grand Hotel Quisisana is! Thanks to everyone who is always so nice and how special the hotel is, we continue to come back year after year!

I always come back to this hotel. To me it is perfection.

Luxury Resort in Center of Capri
Pros:

Family trip, booked three rooms. Very expensive and worth it. Great location in center of town. Outdoor front bar was a great place to relax, have a drink and people watch. Gym was well equipped but small.

Elegant oasis in Capri but needs an update
Pros:

The location of this historical property is great. It’s in the middle of everything. It’s a grand hotel with lots of history and attracts a high end clientele. The pool area is very nice. It feels like a little oasis in the middle of Capri. However, the rooms, while spacious, are quite dated especially considering the prices. With a modern update, this would be a fantastic hotel and worth the cost.

Great location and grounds but antiquated rooms
Pros:

I really do hate to say this after looking forward to coming here - but probably would not stay again.

The location and grounds cannot be surpassed. And service is great. But we had a 2 floor suite facing the pool - and it just felt old and poorly furnished (aside from the new and large tvs).

No wall decor / art. Zero I mean zero floor coverings to soften the tiles. Even the marble stairs were bare and slippery. No counter space on bathrooms. And tiny bedside tables that hold nothing. Curtains hung in cheap plastic rings. It’s just not appropriate for an expensive luxury hotel.

We just came from the Anatara in Amalfi where the room furnishings put this hotel go to shame.

I will give props for the very good ac though.
