Matilda’s is a beautiful hotel with exceptional service. We liked the location and how it was located in a historical neighborhood. They even packed us breakfast for an early-morning tour.

This is a lovely old restored building. Perhaps the lovely wooden floors could be re-varnished, but this a a very minor point.
My son and I spent two nights at Matilda's and we loved it. It's in a lovely old building with very comfortable rooms full of character. There are ample public spaces and a delightful garden. The included breakfast set us up for the day; particularly the omelettes!. All the staff were charming and helpful. Although it's not in the centre of town it was easy to walk to everything we wanted. We'd certainly go back.
Matildas is a historic & elegant hotel. It has antique charm & nice interiors. There is a tranquil garden with various seating where you can relax. The hotel is centrally located within Downtown across from Plaza de Brasil. Easy access to many attractions, eateries, cafes, & bars. Breakfast included pastries, ham/cheese, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, & choice of eggs.

Due to central location & bc my hotel room was at the front section, you can hear some street noise at night. The ceiling lamp is dusty with bugs inside. The reception desk has to buzz the gate to let their guests in & out. Its a security measure, but it can be inconvenient.
Matildas is beautiful building, with tasteful rooms and with a peaceful garden-just what you need after a day touring around Santiago. The staff are incredibly helpful and are always there if you need them The honesty bar is a great idea and the breakfast was delicious.
Nothing really, although the wooden floors can be a bit noisy if you have someone above you
