We stayed for two night during midweek to visit family locally. Very clean and quiet room (we had room 10) even with a wedding on one of the nights that we stayed. The room was spacious and well appointed with an excellent bathroom and a well-stocked minibar fridge and plentiful snack (we were impressed by the range of choice). Plenty of free car parking with two onsite car chargers (which we didn't use). Staff were friendly and attentive but also discreet. We had breakfast in the restaurant on both days and also an early dinner on our first night. The food and service were very good in all respects. The
The lighting was poor (it was very dark even during the day and with all the lights on) and could have been better equipped (only two power outlets next to the door and no USB connectors which made it a challenge for us). The minibar prices were typical of hotel prices so were weren't enticed (despite the temptation)
The staff are the strength of this hotel and make you feel welcome. The hotel is always clean and comfortable. I have stayed multiple times.
Rooms were fantastic, plenty of room. Shower was excellent. Food and staff were very good.
We'd stayed in a few hotels over the last 10 days touring Scotland and this was by far the best.

Lovely clean hotel
Breakfast service was awful nearly 45 mins to get a breakfast,toast came with no butter,had to ask someone to take our order as we waited so long lady who was previously mopping and cleaning up actually brought my plate to the table.
Nice easy access
We were in room 1 with my daughter and it was very loud from 530am in morning
The meal at night and the breakfast was of a very high standard and the service was excellent from every member of staff. The bathroom was excellent.
Room is poorly laid out and difficult to navigate the tight spaces and step if you need the bathroom during the night. No socket next the bed is poor as I needed to borrow an extension lead for my medical equipment.

Mehrere Dinge im Zimmer haben nicht funktioniert:
Minibar hat nicht gekühlt, Fenster war defekt (nach Anfrage war der Defekt nicht behoben), Dusche ließ sich mit heiß/kalt nicht gut regulieren;
Es gab nur eine Steckdose und im Badezimmer gab es keine Steckdose.
Das kalte Buffet des Frühstücks war für ein 4 Sterne Hotel sehr spärlich.
Wir schliefen zur Straßenseite und es war durch den Straßenlärm auch nachts sehr laut.
The hotel is very nicely furnished and comfortable, with a good restaurant and bar. The room was great, large with a good sized en suite, ironing board and iron, hairdryer, tea and coffee supplies, mini bar and good quality sheets. There was a rainfall shower with no separate shower head so if you don't want to wash your hair bring a shower cap. We ate in the restaurant one evening, the food, atmosphere and service were all good, and cocktails delicious.
We were there over a weekend for Commonwealth Games events in Glasgow. The breakfast service at the weekend doesn't start until 8am, the same time as the first train into Glasgow on Saturday. We needed to get this train so the hotel offered a breakfast to go, which we had on the Saturday. Although we were grateful for the offer, it was not good. A limp (non breakfast) sandwich, a squashed small couple of pastry items, a piece of fruit and a bottle of water. On the Sunday we decided to stay for breakfast and get a taxi (the train service doesn't start until later on Sundays). The breakfast was fantastic. Top class. A full continental choice, fresh juices, beautiful fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurts, etc and an excellent choice of cooked breakfast. Definitely do not miss your breakfast!

Room was pretty dated. Food dry and bland.
Staff friendly, breakfast was good.
Room was quirky. Black Wood furniture and fittings dour. Some of the fixtures tired. Sunken bath and shower not to our liking , difficult to get in and out of if you're not agile. Like a lot of hotels very few mains sockets in the room and USB charging ports. Toilet paper very thin and poor quality. Bed was in a wooden frame so not ideal and awkward for getting out of. Tap on bathroom sink was stiff
