As soon as you walk in it is a very bright and clean environment. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I had a 2 queen bed with sleeper sofa and it was very roomy and clean. With a mini fridge. It also had blackout curtains so you’re able to enjoy your sleep. The bathroom was bright and very clean. Breakfast was phenomenal and fresh with a coffee station. Not to mention it has a Starbucks inside open 24 hours! How convenient for us coffee lovers! Overall a great stay.
Quick overnight trip with teens. Bathroom wasn't extremely clean (dirty inside door handle, brown stain on shower curtain + wall. Room smelled like a locker room. Requested (at time of booking online) an accommodating room closer to the top floor, and didn't get either.
Felt safe, and it was quiet.
Beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was ok. Appreciate that they had "to go" boxes/silverware if we needed.
Hyatt Place Midway was fabulous. I was stranded due to flight delays, tired and stressed. The front desk team was so gracious and helpful. Room was ima image. Breakfast was really good with lots of hot options.
This Hyatt is conveniently located to Midway. It has very convenient shuttles that come frequently. The breakfast was great - lots of options, fresh items, great coffee, healthy items, etc. The staff is very nice and helpful. The facilities are nice as well, with a fitness center and small bar. All in all a great place to stay if you want to be near the airport or in that general area.
The room we had reserved was not available upon check in. One of our family members had to sleep on the floor, because we were unable to book a different hotel on such short notice.:(
Well i only write the truth and if it was not a good this time a bug was found in bathroom, The bacon has returned as crumbs nobody eats bacon as crumbs .Return it to strips many agreed at the breakfast table. The bug situation was uncalled for a roach or water bug unknown the girl at the front desk said she would notify a manager i never heard a word .To maintain a good status a Hotel must strive for excellence. Also during my stay a person had three dogs! Yes three in the breakfast area no staff said a word this is unacceptable.I was in room 128 and a party was very loud at the banquet hall nobody never contacted me about any problems that complained about.James at the front desk was great with customer service. Also there should be plastic gloves in the food ares folks were getting food touching untensils after scracthing there head and everything else step your game or this Hotel will lose it's 5 star status.
Overall good experience. Clean accommodations, friendly staff and timely transportation. Working amenities. Beautiful space.
Clean place, friendly staff and great breakfast. Plenty of parking. Lots of places to eat nearby. Would stay here again.
Great hotel at Chicago Midway-super front desk - great staff and well kept hotel. Great representative of Hyatt Branding. Personnel were all well above average in character and professionalism.
Great stay with my kid. Quiet room. Zero complaints. Clean and felt like newer hotel. Easy access to airport. Close to Wintrust stadium. Great Chicago pizza nearby.
This is my second time using this hotel and it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and I was able to sleep throughout the night. Check-in process was smooth and our questions were answered in a welcoming manner.
We stayed there for our son's basketball tournament. Very close to Midway. Like super close. Definitely will be back. The breakfast Definitely saved us money.
Hotel was, clean staff was primarily, helpful, and responsive, however, when checking in, e was not very welcoming . Hotel can use some updates: linen, air in restrooms, add microwave in rooms and air in restrooms
When we arrived at 8:00PM we were told our room was not ready yet even though we had selected a 3:00 PM check in time. The man at the desk tried to “upgrade” us to a king room but with a family of 5 that doesn’t work. It was poor planning on the hotels behalf. They sell rooms for during the day for Southwest Airlines and then our room wasn’t cleaned. Also, there were water rings on the stool in the room that came off when I cleaned them, which meant they hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived which made me question the cleanliness of the room.
We had previously requested synthetic bedding due to severe allergies. Upon checking in and beginning to unpack, we discovered that the pillows provided were filled with down, with feathers visibly protruding. Furthermore, the comforter had noticeable stains, including fresh yellow and brown marks. We also observed hairs on the sheets and a white powder on the desk area. When we requested new bedding, we received a new comforter and pillows, but the bed was not re-made, and one of the pillowcases was left on the sofa.
Regarding dining, we chose to eat at a neighboring establishment as the hotel offered limited options at rather high prices.
We left before breakfast was ready, but it would've been cool if they had coffee and grab-and-go bags with fruit or granola bars since they offer a free buffet breakfast that a lot of people probably leave too early to enjoy.
The hotel's proximity to Midway Airport is excellent, and the shuttle service operates with good frequency.
Great hotel! I usually stay at DoubleTree or HGI in the MDW area, but this hotel blew them away. Friendly staff, comfortable and quiet rooms, welcoming environment.
Very nice hotel close to Chicago Midway Airport. A lot of shops and restaurants on the main road (S Cicero Ave). We ended up renting a car because of the store/restaurant distances.
Very quiet and clean. Close to midway airport. We heard no planes or street noise. Beds and couches were very comfortable. Honestly, best night's sleep of our whole trip. While we ate before we arrived, the area is full of Chicago small chain restaurants like Giordano's and Malnotti's. Breakfast was adequate but beautifully presented.
Great customer service but restore the bacon Back to the breakfast menu.we had both sausage and bacon before .customer service was great with keysha and Liz"
Breakfast was not automatically included in the room rate and when offered at the desk it was $11 per person which was substantially more than the room would have been with breakfast included in the room rate. The hotel was unmoving on reaching a mutually acceptable accommodation. So we had McDonald's breakfast for two days. The luggage rack was broken and the refrigerator worked very poorly and there were no towels in the pool area, which was very small. And there was a ghetto argument in the hallway at 3 a.m. Other than that, it was good.
