An incredible wedding day
Pros:

We booked Colwick Hall for our wedding on Saturday, and we are so glad we did!

From my arrival on Friday night to our check out on Sunday, all of the staff were attentive and genuinely seemed excited to be there for us during our big day.

In the lead up to the day, the communication was great, which led to a flawless day. The staff were on hand to keep time and take us to wherever we needed to be throughout the day and they checked in regularly to make sure that we were happy.

Overall, we had the best day that we could have imagined. Everything went to plan, the venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the ceilidh was so much fun, and all of our guests have told us what an amazing time they had. We couldn't have asked for more.

Beautiful venue, great service, so enjoyable you'll want to get married again!
Pros:

Colwick Hall made for the perfect wedding venue for us and we would recommend it without reservation.

It is a beautiful building and has comfortable, versatile inside spaces. The terrace from the brasserie and the grounds at the back were lovely in the sunshine as well.

Its location is very convenient, being a short car journey from Nottingham city centre and other hotels, enabling guests to come by train from all over the country. Parking at the venue was ample. Whilst it is at the end of a busy lane, this presented no problems.

Our rooms were excellent: comfortable, spacious, clean and suitably-equipped. (The iron was pristine, which is something that lets a lot of other hotels down.)

The whole team were a pleasure to work with. Our main contact was Geetha, who was unfailingly positive and just the right balance of organised and relaxed. The kitchen and waiting staff, in particular, were very efficient and our wedding breakfast flowed at just the right pace. The food was delicious and served at the right temperature. Guests with dietary requirements were well looked after.

We found the venue to be good value for money compared with other options we looked at. Importantly, there were no hidden costs or last-minute surprises: everything was as advertised in the brochure and as agreed with the venue in generating our quote.

It is such a good venue, you'll want to get married again!

A great location for a celebratory stay
Pros:

This stay was a gift to my mother-in-law for her 80th birthday, so I did not stay myself. Therefore this review is second-hand from what she’s told me.

She loved the grandeur of the building, describing it as like a National Trust stately home. She loved the luxury of the bedroom, with gorgeous ornate furniture, especially the full four-poster bed.

She particularly liked the extra touches that the hotel laid on for her birthday (I had tipped off the hotel in advance), including cake and flowers.

Cons:

Nothing, really, although my father-in-law commented that the breakfast wasn’t particularly special.

Exceptional Service and Beautiful Grounds
Pros:

We recently stayed at Colwick Hall and had an exceptional experience overall. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was lovely and thoughtfully tailored to our individual needs, and the service truly stood out.

A special mention must go to Sam, Lewis, Maxine, and Pramod at reception, who were all fantastic throughout our stay. In particular, Sam was outstanding from beginning to end, especially with the email correspondence before our arrival — professional, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout.

Our room was lovely and comfortable, although a little outdated in places, and the windows were slightly difficult to open. There was also an unpleasant smell at one point, though this clearly wasn’t the fault of the hotel itself.

Despite these small issues, the overall experience was excellent, and we would happily stay again. The warmth and professionalism of the staff really made the stay memorable.

Thank you to the entire team! We look forward to returning x
