Outside
Staff and dirty
beautiful venue
the staff in general were quite cold
The Lord Byron Suite was stunning and air conditioning was provided, all staff were so lovely and welcoming, room service was faultless and our food was delicious.
The only issue I can think of is the somewhat judgemental stares my partner and I seemed to get from older visitors to the Hotels Brasserie. Colwick Hall itself was nothing but a perfect experience.
Proximity to Trent Bridge
Lack of natural light in our room
Grounds, views
Room was very basic
No fridge
Up in attic, no air
Bit tired, could do with a bit of an update
Quiet and peaceful very comfortable spacious room
Only small thing is the silicone in bathroom let the quality of the bathroom down a touch
Staff were nice, frendly and informative. location was lovely, room was nice, plenty of spce
No food due to kitchen being too busy with other functions.
they did offer to see what the chef could offer but it should have provided facilities as advertised.
No bar as again the bar had a private function so we could not get a drink when we returned at night.
no one on reception when we left so I could not feedback on the issues
Great location for the race course and Colwick Park
The poor guy on reception when we arrived back at 11pm was constantly having to run in between reception, the bar and because of the heat getting us and other guests jugs of ice for the warm drinking water in our room. Could really have done with another member of staff
Faded grandeur, extensive grounds, large rooms and large bathrooms, plenty of parking space, well situated for visiting Nottingham, nice people and adequate breakfast.
Troubled by inadequate aircon (noting visited during heatwave!).
The size and scale of the room was impressive. Sensitively furnished and very comfortable.
Room could have been cleaner. There was a used cotton bud in the bathroom and a few bits of leftover confetti. Didn't negatively affect our stay, just minor issue.
Staff are brilliant..Room was clean Excellent service..
Bar prices bit expensive.
We stayed before a few years back and loved the spacious room & en-suite .
We were in a room with very small windows and on the top floor. We managed but it was a lot of steps for a hot day and we’re both over 65. I hadn’t thought of making alternative request eg view or for a lower level.
Breakfast good
Room outdated
2 very small windows meant the room was very hot
Poor nights sleep
Cleanliness not the best
Only a very short stay but very comfortable night. Bath was a treat. No complaints. Fan provided which was appreciated on a warm night.
No issues in a brief stay. Would recommend.
Lovely surroundings despite near to city centre. We stay here when we visit friends and relatives in nottm. Rooms are pleasant and comfortable. Staff friendly. Relaxing stay.
Nothing
Having come from a previous accommodation where it was impossible to move around the room because of size, this double room at Colwick Hall was massive in size. We had ample room for two large suitcases and all our 'extras' plus ourselves. The bed was comfortable.
Unfortunately this room is at the top floor of a heritage building. It doesn't have air-conditioning and the windows are tiny. Therefore, in hot weather as we were fortunate to have whilst there, it was stuffy and uncomfortable overnight. We did have an oscillating fan which merely moved the stuffy air around.
Somehow, if there was a possibility for some kind of air conditioning (even mobile) would benefit those booking this room in such a beautiful property.
Please take note of the fact that there is NOT a lift at this property. There ARE stairs and many of them. For those who have mobility issues, book a room on the lower floor.
