Facilities and location are okay. I would stay again if they offer a truly non-smoking room.
Pros:

The hotel is a walkable (~15 min) distance to the busy area in Chiayi. Alternatively, a Youbike (share cycle) station is conveniently located near the hotel. Or they might offer a bicycle rental.

Cons:

Although we requested a non-smoking room, we detected a strong smell of smoke. It seemed as though the room might have previously been a smoking room that was later designated as non-smoking. We complained, and while they performed an ozone cleaning, the smell did not improve.
