Located in a very small depressed seedy area, but on beautiful waterfront. Breakfast in the restaurant wasn’t nearly inedible . The pool was closed and Green . The windows in the room need to be cleaned so you can see the beautiful view.
We should have been compensated for the closure of the pool. We went to the Sister hotel in Hood River best Western and it was beautiful. We ate dinner there and we treated very well. If I had known there was such a difference in two hotels I would have stayed at Hood River.
The staff was fantastic! Location is awesome.
It didn't bother me, but there are train tracks below the property and the noise might be an issue for some.
The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views. Room was quiet. Breakfast was delicious and featured way above average breakfast fare in a well managed, efficiently run restaurant.
We arrived at the hotel at 3:00 and were told the room simply needed to be checked by a supervisor. 45 minutes later we were finally given our room key. It would have been nice to be allowed entry to our room just a bit earlier. So many guests left before 9 in the morning, it's hard to believe it takes that long to turn over a room.
The room was by the Columbia river and had a beautiful view. The room was very big, clean room and a comfortable bed. We really loved this place.

Did not eat breakfast. Location was easily accessible and close to food options.
There was a pair of underwear under the edge of the bed from the previous guest. Elevator broke down on Saturday leaving my partner that uses a walker stuck in the room for the rest of the weekend. It was difficult for her to get down the stairs from the fourth floor.
Breakfast was fantastic! Staff were excellent and room was very clean.
We paid to have a balcony with river view but were put on the ground floor where there was a well used walking path right outside our room-no privacy and less of a view than the upper floors which is where we expected to be. In addition the window toward the river had a leak between the panes so the window was foggy our entire stay which of course meant that our view was compromised.

Too much waste plastic - wraps around the cups -small red stirring straws and small bags of sachets in the bedroom Better to supply small cartons of milk and sugar sachets with wooden stirrers to reduce waste and support our environment

beautiful, large room. very clean.
Breakfast was great and was included by the separate restaurant next door -- but they seemed kind of unwelcoming once they found out our breakfast was free and we weren't new paying customers.
I loved walking into this room. It was spacious and bright and the beds had beautiful coverlets. It was clean and comfortable. There was a table with two chairs (the arms made it a tiny bit of a squeeze to sit down), a small sofa, and a balcony facing the Columbia River. Everything was clean and appealing. The shower has an easy walk-in entry and there were two sinks. We got a coupon for a free sit-down, prepared breakfast at the restaurant next door, which was quite good.
The sinks are outside the bathrooom which sometimes means you might wake up your friends and family using them at night. Worse though was the freight train traffic. The train tracks are between the hotel and the river and trains run regularly all day and night. We were able to sleep through this (and had fun watching the trains pass), but if you are a light sleeper you might want a room on the other side of the hotel.

The little town of Cascade Locks has very little to offer - a couple of restaurants basically. Not much to see or do in the town
