Handy location, best for short stays.
Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent location relative to the harbour. Good tour, entertainment and dining options nearby.

Cons:

We stayed 7 nights and the king room is quite tiny and feels cramped for that length of time. There was only one chair in the room so in-room dining for a couple is not accomodated, although the room is appointed with a fridge and microwave. The King bed was a tight squeeze and the wooden bed frame was a hazard when navigating around it - my husband banged his leg several times due to insufficent clearance. The hotel lobby is also quite small, so no comfortable area to escape the room, unless you leave the hotel...which we did.

Pros:

Location, friendly staff and cleanliness.

Cons:

We had a room at the front of the hotel which was quiet noisey, from the traffic and the pub / club next door.

The staff was amazing, specially Pari, who helped us during the checking and all the details.
Pros:

Local was perfect for do everything by foot. Especially the discount that we got when check in

Cons:

The time to check in and check out was a little bit random, to check in was 4pm and to check out was 11am. If you want to stay only one night, u are going to stay lads then 24h in the hotel.

Room was large

Cons:

No body lotion, room was noisy, AC was noisy, parking was unimpressive, around the corner, surface lot, no security, etc. No breakfast provided, or other amenities that would have made up for other short comings.

no laundry machines for self operation. There was a laundry service though but not suitable for short stays

Friendly hotel in Victoria
Pros:

Warm friendly atmosphere. Staff were always available to help and provide advice.
Great service from Aisha on reception. Would choose the Strathcona every time.

Cons:

Pros:

Super bien placé, à quelques minutes à pieds du port et des principaux endroits à visiter. Très bonne literie. Parking pratique.

Cons:

S'il y a les sirènes de la police qui passent dehors, on les entend bien, mais on les a que entendu le soir, pas la nuit.

Pros:

Close to the marina area for tours and not a long walk to the beacon Hill park.

Cons:

Above a club which was very busy with drunk people on the Friday night of our stay. Luckily our room was in a part of the hotel that did not get affected by it, but it did make coming and going from the hotel in the evening interesting.

Good but noisy
Pros:

Comfy bed, good location. Clean room, quiet room mini fridge. Staff gave me a $30 parking fee refund when I brought party noise to their attention

Cons:

Rooftop venue next door had massive party with loud music till midnight on both nights we were there. We used noise canceling ear pods to allow us to sleep.
