Miserabler Zustand und Preis Leistung unterirdisch
Pros:

Wir bewerten das Hotel deutlich besser, da man nach unserer Beschwerde uns wirklich sehr entgegengekommen ist, um unsere Enttäuschung etwas abzumildern. Das haben wir sehr geschätzt und deshalb fällt das Rating deutlich positiver aus. Die Lage ist sehr gut und die Hoteleigene Thermal Quelle ist natürlich etwas sehr tolles. Das Frühstück ist wirklich gut und die Menschen sind nett und sehr bemüht.

Cons:

Wir waren beim betreten einfach nur geschockt. Noch nie habe ich so eine schlechte Hotel Lobby bei einem Hotel dieser Preisklasse erlebt. Löcher in den Teppichen, überall lösen sich die alten Materialien auf. Höhepunkt dieses Hotel war vor 10 eher 15 Jahren. Kein Design, keine Qualität. Das Hotel schreit quasi danach, dass hier lange kein Geld mehr investiert wurde. Wir hatten uns sofort beschwert und konnten dann wenigstens das unterirdische Zimmer wechseln. Wir hatten sogar überlegt das Hotel zu wechseln etc. Man kam uns dann aber in vielen Dingen entgegen was wir sehr schätzen. Leider ist das Hotel nicht nur alt und abgewohnt sondern auch schmutzig. Alleine einige Haare im Wellness lagen dort 48 Std. lang… Außer den oben genannten Dingen gibt es leider auch nichts positives zu berichten. Diesen Preis zu verlangen ist wirklich eine Frechheit und es muss dringend investiert werden. Für mich ist es maximal ein 3-4 Sterne Hotel, dass nur aufgrund der Lage und der Ausstattung und der fehlenden Alternativen gebucht wird. Alleine der Blick der neuen Gäste die die Lobby betreten sagt eigentlich alles. Man sieht auch an jeder Ecke diverse Mitarbeiter stehen, die anscheinend kaum Aufgaben haben. Hier sollte man unbedingt an der Effizienz arbeiten. Diese waren wirklich sehr sehr nett und ich gebe eher dem Management die Schuld für all die genannten Punkte. Ich hoffe wirklich Sie benutzen diese Kritik um Ihr Hotel Preis und Zeitgemäß upzudaten um anderen Gästen die Enttäuschung zu ersparen. Dennoch vielen Dank für den guten Service und Ihr Entgegenkommen.

Pros:

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family rather than guests. Their warmth, kindness and genuine care were truly exceptional: always smiling, always ready to help, and thoughtful in every little detail, from the welcome tea to their tips for exploring Rabat. The riad itself is a gem: a beautiful, peaceful courtyard with the pool, stunning traditional tiles and a calm atmosphere that felt like an oasis after a day in the city. Spotless rooms, lovely breakfast and a perfect location. We couldn't have asked for more.

Excellent spa hotel in San Miguel; highly recommend!
Pros:

Excellent, high end hotel - the best we experienced in the Azores. Excellent spa with warm thermal pools, sauna, steam room, and decent gym. Could be better with towels at the pools - had to seek out someone to get one. Rooms come with gifts of wine and straw hats. Exceeded expectations. Good dinner; breakfast buffet decent and typical for Portugal.

Cons:

Minor issues as above; overall great place.

Location is prime.

Cons:

The gym is dated and small. There’s only one tiny fresh water or chlorine pool along with the large outdoor and indoor thermal pools. I was hoping for a large outdoor fresh water pool as an alternative to brown thermal pools.

Cons:

Die Thermalbäder, die eigentliche Hauptattraktion, sind in die Jahre gekommen. Eine umfassende Sanierung ist erforderlich.

The best hotel in the area and overall we enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

A beautiful hotel with a very comfortable suite. Nice amenities.

Cons:

The staff was very cordial and accommodating though service in the main restaurant was spotty. Breakfast consisted of an amazing variety of foods and was our favorite meal.

Nach einem missverständlichen Start , war der Aufenthalt gut.
Pros:

Der Restaurantbereich war insgesamt top. Gemütlich, gut eingerichtet und guter Service. Das Essen war sehr gut.

Cons:

Wir hatten ein Behindertenzimmer mit entsprechendem Bad. Während das Zimmer dafür etwas größer als die anderen gewesen sein soll, war das Bad eine Zumutung. Stellt sich auch die Frage , warum wir , obwohl wir bereits im Februar buchten und zahlten, überhaupt das Zimmer bekommen haben.
Das Hotel verfügt über einen Aussenpool direkt an der Straße , die auch sonntags viel befahren wird.
Poolbar oder Poolservice gibt es nicht. Bei Nachfragen von drei Personen die nichtstuend an einer Art poolrezeption miteinander beschäftigt waren, hieß es , ich könne mir ein Getränk an der Hotelbar holen. Während darüber hinaus ein bis zwei weitere Hotelmitarbeiter am Hoteleingang stehen und Türen öffnen , fragt man sich unweigerlich , ob die Leute nicht im Sinne der Gäste intelligenter eingesetzt werden könnten. Aber es handelt sich vornehmlich um ein amerikanisch orientiertes Hotelmanagement und so legt jeder Seine Prioritäten anders.

Loved the location, enjoyed the hotel but way overpriced for what it delivered on.
Pros:

I love the location of the hotel. The property was beautiful and the staff helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Though the hotel has received 5 stars, it seemed like that rating was outdated. The rooms were tired, very small, overly cluttered and not designed for optimal guest usage. The beds extremely uncomfortable. I would say this property was extremely overpriced for what it delivered on. At these prices, guests expect the cream of the crop experience including rooms.
