Ein sensationeller Blick auf die Bucht und den Strand. Man freute sich immer morgens die Vorhänge aufzuziehen.

Cons:

Das erste Zimmer im Erdgeschoss roch extrem nach Hund. Eine Zumutung für Nicht-Hundebesitzer. Darauf hingewiesen oder gefragt, wurde im Vorfeld nicht. Der Tausch des Zimmers funktionierte jedoch einwandfrei und sehr problemlos.

Wundervolle Lage mit miserablem Frühstück
Pros:

Die Lage ist wundervoll mit wunderschönen Sonnenuntergängen an offenen Feuer. Der Mac Kenzie Beach ist für mich der mit Abstand schönste Strand bei Tofino. Das Badezimmer ist winzig, sonst war unser Zimmer recht großzügig mit einem separaten Sofa und einer Terrasse zum Strand.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war eine Unverschämtheit bei dem Preis. Nichts Frisches wie Tomaten oder Aufschnitt. Lediglich verpackter Schmierkäse und Marmelade sowie Jogurt und Saft aus der Maschine waren die Krönung. Wenn Du zu spät kommst gibt es auch keinen Bacon mehr. Alles american style und das Publikum genauso, meist unfreundlich muffig. Das Personal war super freundlich wie überall bei unserer Kanada Reise. Wahrscheinlich ist Bed and Breakfast die bessere Wahl - so unsere Erfahrung in Kanada bisher.

Traumlage, solide Ausstattung
Pros:

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon zum Strand ausgerichtet - ein Traum.
Die Ausstattung war gut. (Eine Schale in der Küche für bspw. Obst, wäre noch eine angenehme Ergänzung. Ansonsten ist alles abgezählt vorhanden.)
Das Badezimmer ist außerordentlich groß und gut ausgestattet.
Das Zimmer war ruhig - unsere Nachbarn, einen Stockwerk höher, leider nicht. Bis 22 Uhr und und ab 07:00 Uhr haben wir jeden Schritt, jeden Ball, jedes Poltern gehört. Morgens wurden wir so leider früh und unangenehm geweckt.
Die Rückmeldung im Hotel ergab, dass außerhalb der Ruhezeiten wenig bis keine Kapazitäten bestehen, etwas zu unternehmen. Das ist verständlich, hat unsere Erholung allerdings geschmälert.
Das Frühstück fanden wir gut und ausreichend. Lediglich der Kaffee ist äußerst wässrig. Es gibt auch tatsächlich nur einen Toaster, an dem wir allerdings nie länger als eine Minute standen und uns in keinerlei Hinsicht morgens eingeschränkt hat.

Cons:

Die Schlafcouch hat leider gequietscht, sodass ein Drehen auf dieser geräuschvoll für alle war.

Tolle Umgebung, Hotel muss noch etwas an sich arbeiten, vor allem was Umweltschutz betrifft.
Pros:

Die Lage ist herrlich! Direkt am Strand, nahe Tofino und die anderen Strände sind auch nicht weit entfernt. Toll ist der Kaffeeautomat in der Lobby. Restaurant, Lounge und Gartenanlage sehr schön.

Cons:

Getränkeautomat außer Betrieb, beim Snackautomat Zahlfunktion per Karte defekt. Frühstück sehr mager. Badezimmer in die Jahre gekommen. Hatten Zimmer 209: Am Balkon Lärm von der Küchenlüftung und vor der Zimmertüre lief auch 24/7 ein großes „Lüftungsgerät“, ohne Oropax war nicht an Schlaf zu denken. Betten sehr unbequem, Kissen viel zu dick. Das Hotel hat ein EcoZertifikat, das lässt jedoch sehr zu wünschen übrig: viel zu viel Einweg: Salz, Pfeffer, Milchtabs, Müslibecher, Kaffeebecher einzeln sogar noch in Plastik verpackt, Toilettenpapier einzeln in Plastik verpackt.
