Raised Prices but dropped Free Breakfast
Pros:

Have stayed at this hotel many times while on business in the Perth/Smiths Falls area. It's pricier than other similar hotels but it was always my preference. Recently they dropped their free breakfast as they raised prices. I will no longer be staying here.

Very relaxing.
Pros:

The large soaking tub with the jet spray was awesome. Staff was very pleasant. Easy walk into town. Lovely park behind the hotel.

Not a good choice for short stays
Pros:

This hotel requires a minimum 2 day booking during the summer months. Not recommended if you require a short stay.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Excellent dining room. Good breakfast.
Quiet. Spacious room and bathroom. Good facilities.
Pleasant walking location next to a park and canal.

Cons:

Room did not have a thermostat (only a wall heater/cooler) so was hot at night. (Apparently, some rooms have their own thermostats.)
Swimming pool was being used (6:30 pm) by several children so I was unable to swim.

Excellent hotel will come back
Pros:

The hotel location is very near the main street but in a quite area near the park. We never heard other guest from the room. The room cleanliness and comfort was excellent. The pool and hot tub water very clean. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful.

Cons:

The area around the pool can be clearer and the hot tub was not hot, just warmer than the pool. The jacuzzi in room 302 - bathtub plug does not seal completely which makes the water trickling out noisy - hard to relax taking a bath.

Great location but mixed standards
Pros:

Location is excellent in the heart of Perth and room was quiet and comfortable. On site restaurant was excellent for evening meals

Cons:

Some staff a bit unprofessional and breakfast very disappointing given the caliber of the evening meal. For a hotel that positions itself as luxury/boutique this is more of a Howard-Johnson breakfast.
