We love staying at Chautauqua! We are always given such a warm welcome and the lovely historic cottages are so comfortable that we feel like it is our second home! There is nothing like walking directly onto the beautiful hiking trails from the picturesque Chautauqua campus, and listening to the birds, and the crickets, while taking in the mountain air. Staying at Chautauqua always makes us feel rejuvenated! Each cottage has its own special pleasures and unique charm, and strolling around the campus in the quiet of the mornings and evenings brings peace to your soul. The perfect escape into the mountains while still being in Boulder, close to everything. The staff is exceptional, and we always enjoy eating on the elevated porch of the Dining Hall. Front desk people make us feel like old friends - a special thank you to Martha, Melanie, Anaia, and the rest of the gang!
We love Chautauqua. We have many fond memories of picnics, movies, taking the trail up the mountain, family reunions, going to concerts and eating at the dining hall. I would definitely recommend Chautauqua.
We love everything about Chautauqua - 4th time we have stayed and it never disappoints. Lovely to see it in the spring - beautiful tulips and fresh green leaves 🍃
Nothing - we love staying here when we come to Boulder

We loved the proximity to so many hiking trails!
Parking was hard.
The location was ridiculously beautiful. We were just steps from multiple wilderness trails. The bar and restaurant were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Cottage was cozy.
General store hours were a little short.
Beautiful historic cottages under the shadow of the Flatirons. Hard to beat!

The cottages at Chautauqua strike a perfect balance between old-world charm and modern luxury. While they boast the handcrafted aesthetic of a bygone era, the interiors are pristine, featuring immaculate wood floors and a fresh finish. I especially loved the vintage-style appliances, which offer a nostalgic look without sacrificing contemporary performance.
The service was truly exceptional. Since my wife required supplemental oxygen due to Boulder’s altitude, the staff went above and beyond by coordinating the delivery and pickup of her medical equipment directly through their office. For a nostalgic getaway paired with world-class hospitality, this is the place to be!
Dinner in the 'dining hall' was very good, and conveniently close. Room was spacious and very complete in amenities, including microwave and induction cooktop. No TV but did not miss it. Snowscape outside window was the cherry on top!
Address of check-in desk was different than resort street address, so I ended up walking 5' through the snow in my dress shoes after Lyft drop-off. This was somewhat hidden in the Welcome email.
