Wow, we are so happy and grateful that we got married at Chautauqua! It felt like at every stage of wedding planning we were affirmed that we made the right choice of venue.
We had people coming in from different states and different countries. It was so incredibly convenient and lovely to have everyone staying on the Chautauqua campus. Everyone had their own space but was steps away, so we were able to make the most of our time together. Also, the spaces were so beautiful - the two-bedroom cottages literally have the Flatirons as their backyard. We had some members of our wedding party stay in Mary Galey Cottage, and it was the best wedding planning decision that we made. We got ready in the cottage, we had our rehearsal dinner in the cottage, my sister and best friend threw a surprise intimate bridal shower in the cottage. I'm so happy we decided to rent Mary Galey, it literally made the whole week.
Academic Hall is centrally located and always has someone there for Guest Services. This was massively helpful. We had multiple people in our families who needed mobility assistance, and Guest Services (and the grounds crew) offered to drive them where they needed to go on a golf cart. They are also so, so responsive and helpful to bring extra towels, linens, paper towels, anything that anyone in the cottages needed.
The biggest of shoutouts to Rosy, the Wedding & Sales Manager/venue coordinator, who is the absolute best to work with and made everything go super smoothly from when we booked to the day of our wedding.
Also, they are a nonprofit. So our money went towards an organization that pours back into the community.
We had the best time and can't recommend Chautauqua enough!!!!!
We look forward to our stay at Chautauqua each year. The location is perfect and the gardens are always so beautiful. Don't miss having at least one meal at the restaurant while you're there. The food is excellent and the view from the porch is lovely. We especially enjoy the daily quiet hours, perfect for napping, reading, or just relaxing. Once you stay here, you will want to come back every chance you get.
We love staying at Chautauqua! We are always given such a warm welcome and the lovely historic cottages are so comfortable that we feel like it is our second home! There is nothing like walking directly onto the beautiful hiking trails from the picturesque Chautauqua campus, and listening to the birds, and the crickets, while taking in the mountain air. Staying at Chautauqua always makes us feel rejuvenated! Each cottage has its own special pleasures and unique charm, and strolling around the campus in the quiet of the mornings and evenings brings peace to your soul. The perfect escape into the mountains while still being in Boulder, close to everything. The staff is exceptional, and we always enjoy eating on the elevated porch of the Dining Hall. Front desk people make us feel like old friends - a special thank you to Martha, Melanie, Anaia, and the rest of the gang!
We love Chautauqua. We have many fond memories of picnics, movies, taking the trail up the mountain, family reunions, going to concerts and eating at the dining hall. I would definitely recommend Chautauqua.
We love everything about Chautauqua - 4th time we have stayed and it never disappoints. Lovely to see it in the spring - beautiful tulips and fresh green leaves 🍃
Nothing - we love staying here when we come to Boulder
