Wir sind rundum zufrieden, auch mit dem Besuch im Le Chalet im Ort (das Restaurant im Haus hatte während unseres Aufenthaltes zu)

Hoch oben in Gruyère fühlt man sich um Jahre zurückversetzt in eine ganz eigene Welt.
Pros:

Die Lage ist einmalig schön. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wir genossen ein abwechslungsreiches und hübsch angerichtetes Frühstücksbuffet.

Cons:

Das ganze Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Aber man kann den Charme vergangener Zeiten erahnen.

Le petit déjeuner est varié et copieux.
L'endroit est calme.

Cons:

Je ne dirais pas que je n'ai pas apprécié. Mais je dirais que la chambre était un peu vétuste et petite pour le prix. Mais nous avons bien dormi. Nous avions des capsules à café mais pas de machine.

Très bon emplacement. Situé à la sortie du village médiéval, on pose la voiture et on fait tout à pied.
L'hôtel offre des remises dans certains restaurants du village ce qui est appréciable au moment de l'addition.

Cons:

Le manque de place de parking. L'hôtel dispose de quelques places mais pas suffisamment pour tout les clients, premiers arrivés premiers servis...
Dommage de payer un parking en plus de la nuit d'hôtel...

Great hotel, great view, I'd stay again
Pros:

Very nice hotel to stay in Gruyeres. Our room was on the first floor, it had a superb view over the mountains behind Gruyeres. The room was clean and large enough to fit also a cot for our daughter. Breakfast was with a good variety and tasty. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel de Gruyeres.

Cons:

Not accessible although there is an elevator from ground floor, as the ground floor is a half flight of stairs below the street entrance. I had to carry our luggage and stroller up the stairs. Wasn't a big deal for us but would be for a person in wheelchair. Another point is the restaurant, it closes at 7pm, which I find very early.
