Newly refurbished rooms. Good parking. Great location.
I don't mind renovation happening but maybe some compensation would be appropriate.
Room a bit small but ok for a short stay
The Grovsenor Hotel was a last-minute booking, but we are so glad we did. From the friendly greeting upon arrival, parking right across from the accommodation to the spacious, clean, and comfortable room and bed. It is located right in town, so everything was walking distance.
Added bonus was the quaint lift.
Not applicable, everything was great.
The location was quite central.
The fridge didn't work, which ended up costing us quite a bit of lost food. The lift was not working on our departure resulting in us carrying two heavy suitcases down two flights of stairs. Workmen started with nail guns, electric saws and other tools at before 7.40am. The hair dryer was completely ineffective. The bed was very hard. The were disinterested in the concerns we raised at checkout. For $217 for a night, it was poor value compared to $230 per night at Quest in Christchurch which provided an apartment with kitchen and lounge and full.clothes washing facilities. My strong advice would be to look elsewhere if you are looking for accommodation in Timaru.
Good location, friendly staff. Good for one night stay
No chairs
Great reception and bar/restaurant staff. Meals were huge and nicely presented. Comfortable bed
Great location, very quiet compared to other places we have stayed in Timaru, helpful staff
Easy walking to town, waterfront and restaurants
Nothing
Easy parking, freindly staff, fresh clean new look
No bathroom heater
Rooms very comfortable
Builders working on level above my room ! Starting work at 7.30 am with radios going and nail guns , tradies talking and finishing work at 5 pm ! I was visiting sick in hospital for days and come back during day to have a sleep but to noisy !
Nice
Nothing to not like
The location was great for us as we had a function to go too just a short walk around the corner.
