The staff were lovely and welcoming. The location is great and easy to find. Parking is good. Room was clean and spacious.
Bed was comfortable.
Sadly the Copper Kiln was closed due to damage, so the atmosphere in the function suite wasn’t great.
The room we were in was above the kitchens, so the extractor fans were quite loud. The water in shower was quite cold.
room has a lovely view and is comfortable
We booked the suite which was massive and very beautiful
Unfortunately the bath was out of service awaiting repair
The rooms are large and we'll maintained. Good facilities. Staff were helpful. Food was nice.
The hotel had a leak in their main restaurant so we had to eat in the function room, which would have been OK except there was a karaoke trivia night organised with very loud music from the DJ. Then when they had no teams join the trivia comp, the DJ continued to try and promote just karaoke until he had cleared the room with the noise...he was the only singer. (He could sing at least, thank God!)
We had dinner twice and really enjoyed it both times. The roast beef was particularly good. The room was quiet and had everything we needed. Lovely towels which were changed daily.

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura per un paio di notti e l'esperienza complessiva è stata decisamente positiva, ideale per chi cerca un buon compromesso tra qualità, prezzo e logistica.

Location was good
Staff were not trained in any aspect, kept closing bar and moving us to another bar 3 times , breakfast was a shambles all we could hear was people constantly complaining about service , having to wait 15 mins to get served at the bar while 3 other staff where just wondering about doing nothing , dirty glass , closed bar at 10.30 told even for residents had to leave. More people complaining
We thought breakfast was included in the price 🤔 but it wasn't, but it was lovely both mornings and cheap.
Underage drinkers on the fair day, security not bothered!!.
“The staff were absolutely exceptional. The lovely receptionist was a real star—unfortunately I can’t recall her name, but she had stunning deep purple hair. We happened to stay the day after a large children’s festival, so some families were still on site and having drinks. I saw a few parents being quite rude, even though the staff were only trying to protect guests from unruly behaviour. The team truly embodies the spirit of this hotel. We also loved staying in the annexe, which was perfect for bringing our dogs along!”
Please support this hotel so others can share the brilliant staff..
“Avoid staying here on the weekend of the annual children’s festival — but please note, this is absolutely not the hotel’s fault. The issue lies entirely with unruly parents who fail to supervise their children properly.
We were there for the Scottish Dog Dancing Competition, and the experience was completely ruined. One of our dogs became deeply distressed because children kept kicking a ball repeatedly against our room door, leaving them too unsettled to compete.
To be clear: THIS HOTEL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR DEMISE BUT the parents who ignored and spoke to the staff (WHO WERE TRYING TO MAKE OUR STAY ENJOYABLE) a aggressive way ...
Staff were accommodating and supplied us with larger fan when the room was too hot.
Was put in the function room to have our dinner whilst someone was hosting a party.
Plug so full of hair the shower wouldn’t drain.
Certain someone was entering our room as the door was open each time we returned to the room.
Close to where we needed to be and had a late check out. Motel style
Altho liked the motel style, spoiled by noisey guests and kids running past the room constantly. Small beds, very dark rooms. Also wasn't told the bar was closed, we had a reservation, instead we were put in the function room which was very noisy and uncomfortable
The staff were amazing and very helpfull
The room was in need of a make over, the bathroom was old and dirty looking. The bedroom carpet was stained, the furniture was old and sticky to touch. The breakfast was average, only2 cereal options. The evening meal was served in a function room during a private party. Hotel in general needs a refresh.
