We cannot thank everyone at Fonab Castle Hotel enough for making our wedding so incredibly special. From the very beginning, the team went above and beyond in every possible way. Every personal touch, every little detail, and the exceptional level of care made our day more perfect than we could have imagined.
The food was absolutely outstanding, the wedding cake was beautiful and delicious, and the attention to detail throughout the entire day was second to none. Every request we made was met with a smile, and nothing was ever too much trouble.
The staff were warm, professional, polite, and genuinely committed to making sure everything ran perfectly. We would especially like to thank the wonderful gentleman who welcomed everyone at the door, the fantastic reception team, and, most of all, Lori. We must have sent Lori endless emails while planning our wedding, and she handled every single one with patience, kindness, and professionalism. She absolutely nailed every detail, and we are so grateful for everything she did.
A very special thank you also to Aneola (apologies if we've misspelled your name). You were an absolute gem and truly one of the stars of our day. You were there whenever I needed you, always with a smile, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Even our guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing you were—they kept calling you "awesome," and we couldn't agree more!

Nice quiet location. Staff are friendly. Rooms in the castle are nice.
The common area’s like dining room and lounge are modern and lack any atmosphere. They have views to the forest , but all surface are hard which makes it for a noisy environment. For a Castle experience it could surely be fitted out a bit more in style. The food serviced in the restaurant was great.
I booked 3 woodland lodges for 2 nights for our family and 2 dogs. On arrival I explained to the receptionist that one dog had passed away only a couple of days ago and we only travelled with one dog. I asked about the the temperature in the room for the dog and I was told it was ok. There was no air conditioning in the rooms and 1 smelt of damp. Luckily we brought some fans with us which helped a wee bit . The rooms are very small to also accommodate dogs. I myself had to leave after 1 night with no breakfast as the room was far too hot for our remaining dog and was making him unwell. On check-out we were charged for the dog who is no longer with us, we won't stay again.
Lovely location with quality food and service. Some general maintenance required in the bedrooms. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Shame about the wintry weather in June, but we still managed a walk through the gardens into town. Great location on the A9 but not!
Gym was a bit small and limited, but I appreciate it’s not a high priority for most guests at Fonab.

I had a recent wonderful stay at Fonab Castle, Pitlochry. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Morag, Judy and Davy were stars in their own right from the very off on arrival . The luxurious room in the main castle was superbly clean, comfortable, and well maintained and very well stocked with welcome goodies and treats. The service was outstanding and exceeded expectations throughout the stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of fresh and expertly prepared dishes. The hotel and adjacent spa offers a relaxing atmosphere and excellent service, facilities and hospitality at the highest level . I highly recommend Fonab Castle to anyone visiting Pitlochry and would eagerly look forward to staying here again in the future.

Needs a little more attention to detail.
Fonab was the highlight of our Ireland/Scotland vacation. We celebrated my wife's birthday and had an amazing dinner. All in all its really a superb place to stay.
Staff were impeccable, room was beautiful, unbelievable view, bed was comfy.
Vegetarian options were lacking sightly, but the meat choices available were all fantastic, my husband loved everything, meat was all great quality and could really taste how well it was cooked.
The outside of the property looks amazing
The room was very basic, I had hoped with paying nearly 500 pounds for one night in the castle suit it would have been a bit more breathtaking, but it was not, marks all over the wall, massively dated furniture, and just not what I would not expect to be paying 500 pounds for one night, I had also made the hotel aware that it was for my partners birthday and if they could do anything special but I got an email asking for even more money to make it a bit special??
looking back at it I am pretty disappointed and would say that there is zero value for money and for the room that I got I would pay maybe £100/£150 maximum!!

Exceptionally friendly welcome and a stunning hotel - lovely spa - rooms large and roomy ... bar lovely and dinner and breakfast exceptional .
I would have liked to have been able to open a window at night - on the ground floor with only a patio door and being female I was concerned re safety . The room got hot during the night.
