A true gem in Dusseldorf with breathtaking views and ample personal space
Pros:

This was the seventh hospitality spot we stayed at during a two-week intergenerational family trip. The RED is in a fantastic location - close to Altstadt, the strassenbahn, the Rhine. We had a penthouse suite that was spacious enough to give us each our own space while also allowing us to maintain and interact with one another. We were blown away by the views the unit afforded us and appreciated how flexible the space was for our needs with three children and five adults. While it was more expensive than other spaces, because we were there for four days, it was well worth it. We were able to host relatives, cook, clean, sleep, and play with ease. The kids loved the walkability of the location, and we were able to find parking in an open lot that charged 25 Euros a day for our 2-meter high van (the parking lot associated with the facility only accommodates vehicles up to 1.8 meters high).

We would absolutely stay here again - with more time!

Cons:

The high ceilings make any talking in the communal space loud. It's not ideal if you have people trying to go to sleep earlier than others. Also, the patio was covered in pigeon feces from the birds that clearly visit frequently and jeer at the fake raven that was installed to scare them away. It became a fun joke to enjoy.

I would have preferred more explicit instructions on accessing additional keys, where to deposit trash, how to find cleaning supplies, have some of those provided initially so we can ensure cleanliness in the unit, and a larger broom. We only recognized the vacuum cleaner on the last day!

We also needed AC instructions - two of our units didn't work at first and we spent a long time resetting them so that they would function properly. (Luckily, we had three engineers with us.)

Die Lage ist recht gut und die Zimmer waren sauber.

Cons:

Die Kommunikation vorab bzgl. des Check-Ins war nicht gut. Wir haben die Zugangsdaten für eins der Apartments nicht erhalten, erst nach mehrmaligem nachfragen und dann auch viel später als abgemacht. Es gab nur 1 Schlüssel für alle und es war sehr heiß in den Zimmern. Ein Ventilator hat nicht ausgereicht.

Pros:

Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen. Man kann zu Fuß in kürzester Zeit an der Rheinpromenade direkt bis zu den Kasematten laufen. Der kleine Balkon, der in den wirklich schön gestalteten Innenhof zeigte ist überdacht. Wir sind mit zwei Hunden angereist, auch das war völlig problemlos und der öffentliche Parkplatz ist in nur 2Min. Zu Fuß zu erreichen. Einfacher ging es nicht.
Wirklich alles sehr schön!

Cons:

Die Lüftung im Bad war wirlich sehr laut. Man hatte das Gefühl, wir heben gleich ab. Da sollte vlt. mal jemand nach gucken. 🙈🙉
