Pros:

Hotel is nicely located close to downtown Guelph. The adjoining restaurant is amazing and the Basilica is a stone throw from the hotel. Lots of shops are around you as well if you want to eat something different, cut your hair, or go to the bank.
The room is spacious and nice. Air con worked very well which was appreciated on this visit. Bathroom had the usual amenities but also dedicated make-up towels and mouthwash!
The living room and kitchen were were stocked with a TV in both bedroom and living room.
Great value in all and a great stay.

Cons:

My bad for missing it, but there are no lifts at the hotel, so if you've got heavy luggage, be prepared for that.
The couch in the living room had also seen better days, but I wasn't sleeping on it, so wasn't too bad.
The restaurant while great for lunch and dinner, doesn't open in time for breakfast, so that is a little bummer as well.

Clean with lots of local and historic color
Pros:

Very clean and with lots of character! The suites were huge and really well equipped. Bathrobes and towels were soft and cozy!

Cons:

Pillows were a bit lumpy.
