Sub par at best
Pros:

Really I’d like to give 2.5 but… the location was good, the price was way too much for what it was, the breakfast had a lot of options but it was WAAAAY dated and the patching of walls etc needs to end and just start over! No outlets held a single plug we had and the TV wasn’t just able to watch local TV. If this is the best option in town it needs to be really torn down and started over! :/ idk who thinks this is a viable option:(

Very comfortable hotel in great location!
Pros:

The location was absolutely perfect! Easy walk into town, along the waterfront, Laite public beach, and to Mt. Battie. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was just enough to satisfy everyone (waffle iron with batter for the kids) and evening fire/smores was a nice touch.

Cons:

The furnishings were a little dated, but overall it was a very comfortable stay.

Think twice
Pros:

The Inn is in serious need of updating, repair and cleaning. Our stay was ok. The location is good. Free parking was a plus.

Guest laundry and ice is in the basement. It was creepy. The laundry is in a room originally marked “Exercise” then a typed paper said Guest Laundry. When you enter it is obviously a storage room full of maintenance equipment and was quite dirty.

Cons:

Pool closed. No daily housekeeping service. Worn uncomfortable mattress. No complimentary water in room. No discount offered to the room rate for pool closure after booking.

Nice room, great location
Pros:

The room was nice and quite large. The location could not be beat. It gets less than 5 stars because of the check-in experience. Check-in is 3:00 p.m. and it's posted very clearly on the front door. Still, we thought we might be able to get an early check-in. We were met with what felt like a reprimand. "Check-in is at 3:00 p.m.!" I get it but we didn't need to be scolded. When we did check-in with a different person, it was a very cold reception. Surprising after so many warm receptions from inns in Maine. Also, a small factor: the TV in the lobby was on Fox News. I don't think a hotel should put their politics up front. The fact that these folks think Fox News is real news does not say much about their discernment.

Wonderful stay!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Camden Riverhouse Hotel. All of the staff were nice. We were able to check in a little earlier than the standard check in time. There is coffee and tea available at any time and free s'mores offered in the evenings, which is a nice treat.

The room was a nice size and had everything we needed. Breakfast was provided as well.

The town is very walkable from the hotel with a fun ice cream place just over the footbridge. Lots of shops and restaurants too.

A perfect place to stay in Camden
Pros:

The feel of a family run hotel and the hospitality of one too made this place a great location for us (family of 3) to stay for the day/night in Camden.
The bridge across the little river is adorable and the flowers are amazing. Breakfast was actually impressive as well.
Make sure you visit Leo and his family at the Owl and Turtle Bookshop and Cafe. And booking the Appledore Schooner for the sunset cruise was a highlight. Camden impressed us with its charm and its park with the amphitheater was my daughter’s favorite.

Pros:

Great Location if you want to be near the harbor. Cute lobby with an outside fire pit in the garden and Free SMORES. Coffee and Tea 24 hours in lobby. Had umbrellas to borrow if raining which it did. Room was big and you could actually open the windows if you desired. Bed was too firm for me.
