Good for a night to experience the hot springs, wouldn’t stay longer.
Pros:

Staff were friendly, obviously the hot springs were fantastic, breakfast was good.

Cons:

Shower had no pressure, it was just a dribble out of the shower head.

Cons:

!The booking was for a 2-bedroom villa with a private swimming pool. Once we arrived and asked about it, the lady at reception told us that it was not included and said it was a Booking.com mistake. She also said there were no available villas with private pools, even though the rooms right beside us were empty the whole time we stayed there.
Breakfast was also supposed to be included, but it barely looked like breakfast at all. It only consisted of baked pastries, tea, and coffee — nothing more

We were not told that the breakfast was served from 8AM and since we had to leave before 8AM we were not able to have some food or even get packed sandwich or some fruit although we paid for it.

Old Fashion hotel experience
Pros:

This is my second stay at this historic hotel. Love the food and drinks. The free breakfast was a nice bonus.
The rooms are really old fashioned and feel like you are back in time.

Cons:

Hot pools were crowded by families and children at night time. Not appropriate for a romantic weekend.
Our queen bed was two singles pushed together. No refrigerator in the rooms for storing any cold food you may have.

Beautiful setting , close to Hobbiton movie set, loved the reception areas inviting, warm and cosy and staff were very welcoming

Pros:

Nice old character building that has been well kept. Comfortable and warm. Great having the restaurant and bar down the hallway.

Cons:

Not so negative but the walk down to the hot pools at night could have been easier with a few lights. Pools were included in our stay so can’t really complain.

Very homely, cosy atmosphere. Enjoyed the heated blankets. Friendly staff. Hot springs were magical. Room was spacious. Complimentary breakfast had a nice range of sweet/savory options. Land was beautiful.

Lighting on the way down to the pool at night could have been better.
