Shells Apartments

We experienced significant amount of noise and loud music until late into the night and also through the night, both nights, as there was a group of young people staying in the apartment next to us.
Parking did not have marked bays so we were unsure as to where exactly to park.

Stairs at both front and rear access made suitcase carrying a bit tough, but worth it when we were settled in.

The only troublesome issue given the beautiful windows and vistas was that a number of the cords on the blinds were broken. Some pullstrings worked and some didn't. Given the windows are such a lovely feature I woudl recommend having these fixed

No significant dislikes.

The walls of the apartment are quite thin, and noise from neighbouring rooms is easily heard.
When I took a blanket from the wardrobe to place on the bed, I found it was riddled with moth holes and fraying at the edges, which was a bit off-putting.
Unlike many rentals, there was no body wash provided in the shower at Shells, so I had to purchase my own.
I also requested an invoice for my stay on several occasions, but I am still waiting to receive it.

Disposing of rubbish was problematic without a bin in the car park.

Access to the bath and taps was challenging (high step and reaching out to open and close taps were difficult).
The dishwasher did not work - cleaning staff tried to help.

the bed was hard ,and only one pillow each .There was a knocking noise coming from one of the doors up the hall way Also no ice cubes in the freezer to make ice .

We arrived at the apartment to find it had not been cleaned since the previous guests checked out.

We were then instructed to inspect two alternative rooms, both of which were also in an unacceptable condition.

The property manager later advised that they believed our arrival was scheduled for the following day. However, all prior communication clearly confirmed our check-in for the correct date.

As a result this error and the lack of basic cleanliness across multiple rooms, our check-in experience fell well below an acceptable standard. The general condition of the building was poor. The outdoor table on the balcony was covered in dust and cobwebs, further indicating a lack of cleaning and maintenance.

Some of the stair treads need to be secured as for an elderly person they are a bit wobbly.

Just doesn’t have a lift or prams accessibility.

There was a couple of stains on the floor (or could have just been cleaned as they felt a tiny bit damp)
