Highly recommend - Fresh, welcoming, modern with 'old school-ish' service & feel
Pros:

Clean, fresh, spacious, plenty of parking, quiet - considering it's a pub! Pub area fabulous : spacious, friendly, book exchange basket, newspapers - so refreshing to have 'old school' style in such a lovely environment. Bistro good too. Would definitely recommend & would stay again.

The position was good. Nice local cafes and restaurants.

Cons:

Two flights of stairs wasn't easy with a suitcase. Also the Friday and Saturday night music from downstairs was quite loud until about 11pm.

Very centrally located and everything felt well maintained. The staff are very friendly.

Cons:

I am not a fan of when bed linen on doonas is not washed and changed and it is only the flat sheet underneath that is clean. There were also secondary pillows on the bed that were definitely not cleaned between guests.

Pros:

It was in walking distance to the harbour and beach. The rooms view was not what I expected. You hardly could see the water front.

Cons:

I would have appreciated if there were some information in the room about nearby shopping facilities or the Saturday market. Only found out too late that there were not only the Spar Supermarket but also other opportunities which was within 30 min walking distance.
The view from the room was not a lookout as the room was advertised.

Pros:

The service from the staff was amazing. The room was clean and homely. The shared bathroom was perfect and just enough for our stay. Would highly recommend the Pier Hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in Coffs Harbour!

Only a short walk to and from the railway station
Lots of nice cafe close to the hotel.
Bus stops were close by.

Cons:

The room was small, however it was comfortable for the amount of time we were in the room.
