For a work trip it is good value with the pub onsite

Excellent comfortable beds nice hot showers great meals and staff
Pros:

We have stayed at the Rubicon on numerous occasions and have been very happy with the experience it’s clean comfortable and has an excellent restaurant the food is great the staff are great always helpful we go to Eildon frequently and the Rubicon is always our first choice for accommodation

Great comfy stay in good location. Very friendly staff and rooms have all you need.
Pros:

Great location in Thornton. Old fashioned rooms but equipped with all you need. Bathroom had easily accessible toilet, shower was good size and water hot. Bed was comfy and the little kitchenette cupboard had all you needed - fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery etc. Couch was also comfy. A few metres from the pub Bistro. Great food and lovely staff.

Cons:

The only thing was the outdoor light shone through the front door side window and kept the room lit up for sleep time. Hoping that can offer up a small blind to have the option to block this light out for future guests.
