Great comfy stay in good location. Very friendly staff and rooms have all you need.
Pros:

Great location in Thornton. Old fashioned rooms but equipped with all you need. Bathroom had easily accessible toilet, shower was good size and water hot. Bed was comfy and the little kitchenette cupboard had all you needed - fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery etc. Couch was also comfy. A few metres from the pub Bistro. Great food and lovely staff.

Cons:

The only thing was the outdoor light shone through the front door side window and kept the room lit up for sleep time. Hoping that can offer up a small blind to have the option to block this light out for future guests.

Restful, scenic area for a vacation away from the city.
Pros:

The Rubicon Hotel has neat and well-equipped rooms, in a large green space. The hotel has a good Restaurant, with diverse menu and great service.
It is a 15 minute drive to the favourite summer holiday destination of Lake Eildon, featuring water sports like fishing, boating and swimming.
Prices here are very economical in the off-peak season.

Pros:

Rubicon is clean, staff are friendly, meals in the pub are good, the double rooms are quite dated and have a light outside which glows through the window until about 2am. The family rooms are more modern
