Affordable, comfortable and convenient, but not again.
Pros:

Location was near family. Comfortable bed

Cons:

Planned renovation works took place while I was there with demolition work occurring directly below my room, so was noisy and the whole room and floor was shaking.
There was a mentally unwell man in the room next door to me who shouted all night long and banged on doors in the corridor - I did not sleep or feel safe about having him stay in the room right next door to me.
The fridge froze everything and then totally defrosted itself.

Great location with CBD within easy walking distance. Our room was clean, spacious & comfortable. Reverse cycle aircon. Good sized bathroom. Quiet allowing for restful sleep. Great place to stay.

Excellent value for money, highly recommended.
Pros:

The rooms were recently renovated and modern. Includes a microwave and toaster in addition to the kettle. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet.

Cons:

They don’t have a kitchen it that doesn’t matter as there are places to eat nearby.

Bright, clean and comfortable
Pros:

No breakfast included but has meal making preparation facilities in room. Nice bright room with clean linen and towels

Cons:

No dining facilities downstairs, need to drive to 2 kms westwards to the Hotel's sister hotel for meals (which are nice by the way, but pricey). Bar staff seemed too busy serving drinking customers to attend to arriving room guest.

I am a return customer because I feel comfortable and at home at the Somerset Hotel.
Pros:

The cleanliness and style of the room. Easily accessible from Burnie. A quiet neighbourhood with all you could need within walking distance.

Cons:

I can never connect to the wifi but that could be a me problem.

A great budget hotel that offers more than lots of others.
Pros:

Great value for money hotel. Large and comfortable for one night. The Somerset isn't a fancy hotel but the beds were really comfortable, the shower hot and the staff were very friendly, not something I can always say about more expensive accommodation It wasn't noisy the night we were there in spite of being above a hotel and next to a bottle shop. I would stay again and do recommend it.

Cons:

The decor was a little stark.

GREAT. ROOM AND COMFORT AND FACILITIES WERE GREAT! STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL, FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE. GREAT LOCATION! CURRE TLY NOT DOING MEALS BUT THEY DO HAVE BAR FOOD, 5 MIN WALK TO GREAT BAKERY, SUPERMARKET ETC. VERY REASONABLE PRICES. WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE IT WAS A "PUB", BUT SO QUIET!! LOOKED ABIT "DODGY" BUT DONT LET THE OUTSIDE FOOL YOU. ABSOLUTELY "HOME AWAY FROM HOME", WHEN YOU GET TO YOUR ROOM.!!!

Only thing was not currently serving counter meals but have bakery, etc 5 mins walk away.
