Historical quaint cottage
The steps up to the loft were very steep and would benefit from a hand rail
Location and value for money. Very clean and a very interesting place to sta
Oh I booked two rooms because I needed separate rooms .but the downstairs accommodation had two rooms. So im not sure where the confusion came from
Historic small Garden Cottage, part of the Sorell Barraks complex. There was basic, though sufficient equipment for microwave meals. Comfortable bed, clean, Close to Sorell shops.
The Garden Cottage (small building with blossom tree in photos) is NOT the Barracks. Very compact, just enough room to move around the bed with our bags on the floor. But the price is much lower than for the Barracks
Cosy, compact and had all necessities for a comfortable stay.
In need of some TLC, front door needs replacing as it doesn’t open fully without a push and the gap at the top makes sure you can hear the traffic. Miss matching paint in the bathroom and main room needs addressing. Just all needs a bit of investment and a lick of paint.
Owner met us at the vehicle and led us to the room. He was very helpful. A quaint property with comfortable bed and furniture.
Nothing.
What a great place to stay. History and comfort all in one. We stayed in the little cottage. Very cosy with a beautiful bedroom & a super comfy bed. The little kitchenette was an added bonus to save us having to go out for breakfast.
History connection
No lights on arrival so no showers. Owner responded straight away to try to sort the issue and then called electrician. We had power for most of the late evening and morning. Lights came on in middle of the night but not in the morning. Something they will need to fix. Caretaker was great trying to help on a cold night but it definitely put a damper on the night.
Quaint, historic cottage in a great location close to airport. Cosy and comfortable room with everything needed for a relaxing stay.
Bed heater was a nice touch though not really neccessary in Tasmania Winter.
Parking was easy
very little soundproofing so you'll likely wake up to neighbourhood sounds (rubbish collector/dogs)
Curtains aren't even close to black-out, lots of light gets in 24/7.
Stairs are extremely steep, could pose a risk to older people
quite at night handy to where we needed to go
bit small dusty not enough tea bags
It was a very cosy home and had everything I needed to be comfortable for my 2 night stay.
I could hear everything from all the neighboring rooms, but this is understandable because we wouldn’t want to make any changes to the historic structure
It was delightful to stay in this 1820s building, and the accommodation was cosy, comfortable and homelike. My teenage boys were fascinated by the antique knickknacks and we were all surprised and touched at the level of trust shown in having such nice things in the rooms.
Everything!!!
Nothing!!
Amazing historical building. Beautifully maintained. Bigger than expected. Easy drive to the airport.
