Not a good experience. Currently being renovated. Builders leaving early. Terrible WFI. Fan in bathroom didn’t work. Only one chair at table. To add to poor experience there was a power cut. May not be facilities fault.

The attached boat house tavern was the only good thing about this property.

Cons:

It was being renovated and was very disappointing. The couch was disgustingly, so much so I put a picnic blanket over it before sitting on it. The sheets were clean but there were no blankets on the bunk beds for my kids.

Definitely would think twice before staying here again

The bed & shower were lovely & towels comfy

Cons:

When we booked we were not informed that the hotel was actually a construction site. We had 5 nights & the noise was from early morning & some days into the evening. This was certainly not a restful stay. Also with a 5 night stay you would think that there would be at least one change of towels but no & it is ridiculous to think that there was a need to ask for them to be changed. With a 5 night stay one coat hanger was seriously not enough for two people, so we had to ask for more. Things needed to be hung up because there was no draws to put cloths in. It seems that this hotel is not wanting guests to stay any longer than overnight. This is very disappointing as the hotel is situated two minutes walk to the beach.

Not being notified about renovations, everyone, everything bothered me. Just wanted to relax after driving from Townsville
Confusion with the room I had booked from the receptionist, I wanted a lounge and she said the one I booked did not have one. Incorrect and I received what I paid for

Chairs and couch older than me and left you feeling itchy
Tradesman working on other units at 7 am and smell like epoxy coatings drifting into our room wasn't ideal

Pros:

we had 2 rooms next to each other, and we could take the dog. it was across the street from the dog beach and next to the hotel for a meal and drink. enough space for everyone although we had to ask for extra blankets and there was no hot water on our last morning. not sure if they mentioned about the renovations taking place but we couldn't access our patio and there was grinding and work taking place 7.30 Sunday morning which was a little annoying ..

there was no hot water on our last morning and not quite enough utensils for the number of people . I can see they are slowly renovating so probably not putting any money into the older units .

Amazing stay ! Will return!

I was lucky enough to be allocated a freshly refurbished unit and everything was just perfect ! The whole unit has been recently re-done, re painted, new furniture, new everything ! Unit was perfectly equipped with all i needed for a comfortable stay ☺️ I choose to eat at home but the pub is at your door step if you feel like a nice meal within a great atmosphere.

Cons:

Couldn't connect the TV to Netflix.
