The person at the check in desk was nice
Terrible building, dark and smelly. Horrible drain smell in room, dirty surfaces and paper thin walls. Management was very unhelpful when I gave them my feedback. I felt very unsafe as a female solo traveller.
Our plane got cancelled so our next flight was a bit later, meaning we would arrive later in the night. The staff was very helpful and gave us phone numbers to keep contact. After getting to the hotel, our room key didnt work, so the staff got us another room. Very helpful! Close to main city, around 20 min walk, so each day stroll to keep us active. Only 15 min to the new fish market too! Behind the hotel is a shopping centre with Coles and other shops.
The lift was hard to find at the start, it was located at the far end of ground level.

Not much apart location was close to where I needed to be on that day.
It was very noisy. There seemed to be people in the corridor running, shouting at various times during the night.
For the price, it was a great deal. Staff were amazing - even let me check in early (I had arrived super early due to my flight so this was a life-saver!!). Very clean and bed was super comfortable.
The room had absolutely no noise cancellation. You could hear everything from neighbors and cleaners like they were right in front of your room door. Overall, my experience was great but this was the only downside.

The breakfast was poor. The room was windowless. I would not have booked this room had I known there was no window to the outside world. I also dislike the continuous air-conditioning. The occupant has no control and I had to put up with the temperature and fan level that was given.
