Misleading advertising made for a very bad experience.
Pros:

Location in Lindisfarne was good. Restaurant and bar available.

Cons:

My room was cold and grotty. It was advertised as having heating, but there was no heating at all. This is Hobart in winter! I was cold!
The advertised “Queen Room” I had booked was actually a double bed.
The wash basin was in the bedroom! (Kind of the photos online showed that.) And it was half the size of a regular basin - and there were hairs in it. And hairs in the shower.
The shower dripped constantly.
The couch was stained where someone had tried to wash it, and the blanket on the bed also had stains on it.
And just when I thought, at least I can watch tv, the tv reception was hit and miss.
I got online through booking.com to complain straight away, mainly about the lack of heating (where it stated I needed to write if I wanted “to contact the property”) - but nobody got back to me. It wasn’t until 3 days later that a heater was finally put in my room. I was told by the manager that their office isn’t staffed on weekends - but that fact wasn’t stated anywhere. You’d think someone would have told me that right at the start, given that I checked in on a Saturday.
The hotel states that it’s non-smoking but the smell of stale cigarette smoke was quite strong as I walked the hallway towards my room.
I did not enjoy my stay there at all. I was booked in for 6 nights but I asked for a part refund and left after 3 nights.

Good views
Pros:

The view and friendly staff

Cons:

The cleanliness of the bathroom, lots of hairs and the tiles were gunky

Bring woken up at 7am by tradesmen working right outside the windows with out prior warning

Pros:

A cheap hotel with a communal kitchen is clean and comfortable.

Cons:

It was a bit out of the blue, no cleaning service for towels and soap refill in our room for another 2 days.

Lots of people loitering outside guest entrance at night - mostly smoking, - smell carried to room

Pros:

El personal fue amable, el precio esta muy bien, la habitación es cómoda.

Cons:

La habitación no estaba tan limpia, especialmente el baño. Durante nuestra estadía se prendió la alarma de incendios una vez a causa de la gente que vive permanentemente en el hotel.

Pros:

Very comfortable, clean, practical, good parking, good shower pressure with lots of room. Liked how it had a sink in the room apart from the bathroom one. Very cheap
