Great place and I will be back again!
Pros:

Staff were super friendly and relaxed/helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fit out and rooms in general. Entry and afterhours exit was simple and convenient.

Hotel was lovely and clean.
Pros:

Loved the extra big bed, loved the L'Occitane products in the bathroom and loved the location, the proximity to the city/ Salamanca Market.

Cons:

Check out time should be at 11am as standard practice.

Lovely Stay in this hidden gem.
Pros:

Great location in a very historic neighbourhood. The restaurant food and service was excellent. The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The bathroom was lovely but very tight and no room on the vanity for toiletries.

Hidden Gem in the Best Location
Pros:

Fantastic location! 3min walk to Salamanca, and a 1min walk across the road to lots of cute restaurants and cafes. The location is perfect to be away from the loud noise of the city but still within walking distance of everything. The room was clean and spacious, and the water view was gorgeous. Although the rooms are above the pub, you couldn't hear the downstairs noise from the rooms. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hobart!

Pros:

10/10! Highly recommend this place. The view is absolutely stunning, the location is perfect, everything was spotlessly clean, and the room was incredibly comfortable. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’d definitely stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Trying to appear special but it doesn't make the grade
Pros:

Location was excellent for walking to Salamanca and the ferries etc. It's an old area so lots of historical houses.
Restaurant food and service was good.
Bars are a bit dull so it felt like an old pub
Plenty of offstreet parking although it's not secure.

Cons:

I was surprised when my husband said that Google indicated it was a 3 star pub. Then considering the price and subsequently the room size, we believe it is overpriced for what it is.
Be careful about getting excited about paying for rooms with views.
Room photos gave an enhanced perception and unfortunately I fell for it.
Bathroom was pokey and hot water was only just hot.
There was no room service done after our first night, plenty of dust on window sills and coffee station.
Yes it is a recent renovation, bit not worth the cost, especially considering our previous night in Melbourne.
Checkin reception was a clear indication that this wasn't up to scratch.
No lifts, stairs only.
