Suitable for a short one-night stay, but the noise, smoke smell, and cleanliness issues made it less
Pros:

The bed was comfortable enough for a one-night stay. I also appreciated the coffee and tea setup, as well as the shampoo and shower gels provided.

Cons:

The walls were very thin, and I could hear conversations from the neighbouring room. There was also a lot of noise at night from the other guests either slamming doors, having super loud conversations etc. The door had a large gap at the bottom, which let corridor light shine into the room. The room had a cigarette smoke smell, and the overall cleanliness could have been better, especially around the shower area and crevices in the room.

Convenient location to shops, train and airport. Room was good just a bit of updating needed.

Convenient to trains and airport. Staff were nice.

Cons:

Had an issue with first room given. Staff resolved and we were given a different and better room the next day. A few crockery items would have been good to allow us to have for example cereal for breakfast. No bowls or larger spoons. No knives or forks. Could hear conversations from people next door. Located on very busy road so could hear trucks at all hours. Earplugs were provided. No chairs. Had to sit on bed to eat or watch tv.

Fairly good accommodation within easy reach of public transport.
Pros:

Within walking distance to Arncliffe Railway station. The staff were always friendly and helpful, although the concierge was unable to give advice about available secure parking on our arrival (it can be arranged, but "there is only street parking available" must've seemed like the easier answer. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Reasonably priced. We were also accommodated on very short notice.

Cons:

The room felt like a basement. No fresh air and the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working, which lead to a very stale/stuffy environment in the room. We ended up leaving the door ajar for extended periods while we were there, to facilitate influx of fresh air.
The only window in the room looked out onto a very busy intersection with all the accompanying noise - which was at times considerable. (To be fair we were cautioned about the traffic and the noise in advance).

Neat and tidy, but needs to be improved before I stay again
Pros:

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

We loved the little courtyard. We had a lovely cuppa out there. Plenty of tea and coffee making supplies were provided.

The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Cons:

We were told there was road noise and were provided ear plugs, but they did not help at all. The road noice did not stop. There was no quiet period where the noise was quieter. As a result, we got very little sleep before our flight.

The plantation shutters look lovely, but they provided very little protection from outside light. The light from the traffic and the street beamed right through the shutters, so again, making sleep very difficult.

The corridor lights are very bright and remained on all night, we had a massive gap under our door, so our room was way too bright to sleep.

There is no elevator so dragging all our luggage up several flights of stairs was a challenge.

There is no parking on site. The staff recommended to park on the 2 streets behind the hotel. However, at check in time, which also coincides with school pick up, there were no parks and we had to drive around several times to park. This became quite a stress.

There was no bath mat or face washer provided, only towels.

Exactly what you are looking for to get ready for an early flight
Pros:

Easy to get there from train station as well as very easy to get to the airport.

Cons:

Walls are probably a bit thin or something as I had a couple in the next room that didn’t let me sleep till 1in the morning, I could hear EVERYTHING

It’s a handy location when you need to get to/from the airport. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful

Cons:

The shower head broke off in the first room we were provided so they changed our rooms immediately.
