We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the years and were pleased to return again on this occasion, particularly as there are now new owners. We were very impressed with how welcoming, helpful and accommodating they were.
Nothing was ever a problem. Whenever we had an issue, they were there promptly to see how they could help, and if they couldn’t provide exactly what we needed, they always suggested an alternative solution. Their willingness to assist, no matter what time of day or night, was exceptional.
The motel suite was spacious and comfortable, with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a large bathroom. We stayed during winter and the heating was excellent, making the suite lovely and warm and very comfortable.
The location on the northern outskirts of Tenterfield suits us perfectly, particularly as we travel to Wallangarra to visit family. It is convenient, quiet and exactly what we need.
Parking is great as it right outside the units front door you can't ask for more than that!
We have always enjoyed our stays here, and the new owners have certainly raised the standard of hospitality. We will definitely continue to stay here whenever we are in the area and would highly recommend it.
The kitchen was not suitably equipped for guests wanting to prepare meals. There were very limited cooking utensils, pots and pans, which made it difficult to cook a proper meal during our four-night stay. As we were staying in the middle of winter, we specifically wanted the option of cooking dinner rather than having to go out on the freezing cold nights. Unfortunately, the lack of basic kitchen equipment made this quite difficult.
The wardrobe in the second bedroom was also quite small for a room accommodating two people. There was simply not enough hanging or storage space for two guests staying for several nights. If another person was sleeping in the third single bed out in the loungeroom I don't know where they would store there stuff for the duration of the stay.
The lounge room TV would also benefit from being upgraded to a Smart TV. Having the ability to log into streaming services such as Netflix would be a welcome addition, particularly for guests staying for several nights, rather than being limited to the local free-to-air channels.
We didn't have breakfast at the Golfers Inn but there are facilities to cook outside. The location is fantastic and very quiet. The rooms are great as we had a 2 bedroom unit. The kitchen has everything you need. It's the only place I stay when I go to Tenterfield and I just love it.

Perfect spot for our stopover between Tamworth and Brisbane. Spacious rooms, plenty of parking and reasonably quiet even though there was a big event on in town that weekend. Would stay again.

Tegan was very helpful and provided us with a large room which was solid quiet and very comfortable One of the better motels on our leisurely journey from Melbourne to Queensland.
The car had a roof over it for the night .
