The only thing I didn’t like was that I wasn’t informed about the pet charge on booking and my dog is very clean so no need for this charge for me. She doesn’t shed and is toilet trained.
Also the cupboards in kitchen had mice or cockroach droppings so naught need a deep clean.

Bed wasnt very comfortable, pet friendly but no back yard or anywhere to leave your dog outside......should be told that when booking.

The motel is getting tired and, although while lovely and clean, it did have wearing silicon in the bathroom areas that needs refreshing; the toilet also has mini tiles on the floor that have lost their grouting but we're covered with a bath mat so not an issue apart from the sounds. The photos didn't do the motel justice from a grounds perspective.

Subject: Formal Complaint – Unhygienic and Unsafe Accommodation

I am writing to formally complain about my recent stay at Black Swan.

The condition of the room was unacceptable and posed serious hygiene concerns, especially as I was travelling with my young child. The issues included:

- Stained bedding with what appeared to be blood or bodily fluid
- Marks on sheets consistent with possible pest (bed bug) presence
- Dirty and unclean utensils in the kitchen drawer
- Excessive dust and poorly maintained fixtures (e.g., ceiling fan)
- Overall lack of proper cleaning and maintenance

Additionally, due to the excessive dust in the room, I experienced sneezing and an itchy nose and throat, which raised serious health concerns for both myself and my young child.

Because of these conditions, we felt unsafe staying in the room. We attempted to find alternative accommodation that same night by calling multiple motels; however, all nearby places were fully booked. As a result, we were unable to leave immediately and could not sleep the entire night due to discomfort and concern.

The following morning, we had no choice but to book another motel at our own expense in order to have a safe and clean environment. This effectively meant I had to pay for accommodation twice due to the unacceptable condition of the original room.

This experience does not meet acceptable accommodation standards and is not what I expected when booking through Booking.com.

I am requesting a full refund and compensation for this stay.

There were ants all over one couch, unit was dated and not the cleanest. I couldn't even walk inside without socks or shoes on.
We are now staying in a beautiful cabin at a lovely caravan park that's cheaper, cleaner and so much more comfortable.

Male staff caretaker was extremely rude and verbally abusive towards myself and my partner.
Absolutely disgusting with derogatory language.
Couldn't wait to leave.
Appalled with his behaviour. 🤬

The man there was rude and intimidating

The maintenance man was rude knocking on our door saying “open your fucking door” when the smoke detector was activated because of smoke from cooking our steak.

No power sockets in living room and one bedroom
