The hotel itself is very good but the accommodation is very disappointing.
Pros:

Well located in the heart of Mackay.
Bar and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The accommodation was very dirty and smelly. The carpet on the entrance to the rooms was filthy. The internal of the room was not clean at all.

Pros:

De kamer was duidelijk opgeknapt, maar de foto's online laten wel alleen de opgeknapte stukken zien.

Cons:

Om eerlijk te zijn hadden we op basis van de foto's en de positieve reviews heel wat anders verwacht.
Er is geen receptie, je checkt in bij de bar van het restaurant/casino waar de 8 kamers boven liggen. Je gaat naar binnen via een parkeerplaats achter de drankwinkel en de gangen zijn donker en niet fris. Het appartement zelf was redelijk en de bedden schoon, maar de vloer plakte, de badkamer was erg klein en er was achterstallig onderhoud. We waren blij dat we maar één nacht geboekt hadden.

Newly renovated, great value, convenient location
Pros:

Convenient location, great value for money. We Like how it’s been renovated to suit the rest of the property. Loved what the restaurant had to offer on the menu but unfortunately they were out of the things we were wanting to order that night. We do look forward to coming back to experience what the restaurant has to offer again. Comfortable beds too which is always a bonus.

Gute Lage, Stadtzentrum fußläufig. Gut ausgestattete Küche, insgesamt saubere Unterkunft.

This hotel met all our needs & staff were fantastic. Location is central to Main Street.
Pros:

The communication with hotel was excellent, we arrived after hours & they left clear instructions to access hotel. Room was spacious with comfortable beds. Very friendly & helpful staff.

Clean, comfy, and close to town.
Pros:

Very comfortable for a short stay. Microwave and basic plates and cutlery was sufficient. Very clean. Bathroom looked like it had been recently refreshed. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Quay.

Cons:

Room was very small. Not much room to move around, but was sufficient for a short stay.

Pros:

Perfect for a one night stopover on our way north. Rooms are behind a bar which had good food at reasonable prices.
