Good hotel, bad Booking experience!
Pros:

The location is perfect, everything was close by in a walking distance. The hotel seems to be some sort of a landmark as everybody knew it. It has a good vibe and the bar downstairs is very good. It was clean but we didn't like the shower because it is imposible to shower witout getting everything wet in the toilet. Also, the window in the toilet was broken but that didn't cause any troubles.

Cons:

We had a very bad experience during the booking process - this was probably Booking.com's fault, but they didn't take any responsability. Booking (or this hotel, we don't know because the Booking support was unhelpful) was hacked and we were double charged for the stay by a third party. The host said it was Bookings fault, Booking said ask the host, than they opened a claim and they decided it wasn't their fault. We would visit this hotel again as the price was fair but probably directly with the host. This was a very negative booking experience and the made us anxious during our travel. We've been using Booking.com for most of our travels and that will probably change. It is good for other people to know about this scheme and be more carefull and less trustfull to emails received by Booking and notificatins on the app, as their security is breached. Hotel - reccomend. BOOKING.COM - NOT.

Very good except for the issue of wet bathroom floor.
Pros:

The decor was very authentic the hotel having been built in 1890.
The staff were really professional and caring.

Cons:

Unfortunately during heavy rain the bathroom window leaked water onto the tiled floor. At 8am in the morning the pool of water on the floor caused me to fall and injure my face.
There is evidence of water damage to the bathroom window cill and ceiling areas of the bedroom and bathroom.

I would definitely recommend this to friends and would consider staying again in the future.
Pros:

It was very nice for a cheap stay and the pub meals were great with the happy hour drinks and they have an after hours bar downstairs for later on at night. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Cons:

Access for parking. I have to lug all my stuff up the stairs to the room and I had to park with hazards lights on to drop off the stuff and then I had to park way up near the beach and walk back to the hotel.

Perfect for a cheeky weekend
Pros:

Brilliant staff (Jason, Elliot, Sam + the Underground tenders all ace), can't thank them enough. Food was amazing - Lamb Salad + Aubergine thingo - Top notch. Room was clean, fresh towels delivered. No dramas. Thanks again gang, ripper weekend.

Cons:

Loved it all. I thought it was table service in the bistro (I thought it was a restaurant), was looking for a bit of table service flash. No biggie, yet slightly disappointed/anxious my partner would like it... then the fabulous Jason entered our lives. Cutlery, intuitively knew we wanted share plates. Jase was the icing on the table service cake. Anxiety dissolved, we felt welcomed, appreciated and entertained. Class - 10 out of 10 mate.
