Location was good, the Hotel Room was one of the worst we have stayed in, in all our travels around Australia and did not live up to the internet photos. If the management had spent as much on the room as they did on there Reception Area and Souvenir Shop it would have been a much better visit.
The stairs to the Room were too steep and I am surprised they meet Australian Occupational Health and Safety Standards. The Room was too small. The bed was very uncomfortable and we hardly slept and woke up feeling terrible, sad end to a short break holiday.
Great location.
Great food in the Bistro
Great water pressure in the shower!
Stairs narrow & steep but to be expected in a historic Hotel.
Clean, tidy and convenient. Nice meals in the restaurant
Electric blanket was a little uncomfortable due to the coils in the blanket.
A beautiful character building
Really comfy bedding in a pleasant relaxing room.
Clean facilities that were as modernised as a building of that age would allow.
The old character of the building meant that stairways were extremely steep and narrow.
Ok if you're fit and healthy, definitely limiting if movement is more challenging for you.
Fantastic location and authentic village feel.
Location
Very small room multiple stairs to get to room
Location
Nothing
located in the middle of the town in an excellent location the hotel is a great place to stay. The renovations that have been completed have brough the building up to an all-new standard. Accommodation is above the hotel so ready access to the bar and restaurant
the stairs up to the accommodation is very steep and could be hard for people with limited mobility
The Cottage was absolutely beautiful, situated directly across the from the bay, the view was magical,
nothing to complain about there.
location was perfect, right in the heart of one of the prettiest little towns we have ever seen
everything is within walking distance
the only thing that was disappointing was the fact that I broke my ankle at Port Arthur so didnt get to enjoy the hospitality of the pub as too many stairs for crutches
next visit will stay longer
Room was great. A little aged however there were no bath towels.

Was a lovely hotel, sat by the fire before dinner. The restaurant was very good and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly.
Nothing
The historic charm, great restaurant on site, food was excellent and friendly staff
The mattress was a bit hard, if travelling with large suitcase, the the accommodation is up 2 flights of steep narrow stairs, little bit difficult.
We had a perfect view of The Nut from our main window, and the other window looked down to the beach. The hotel was well kept, very comfortable and very good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at the bistro downstairs - atmosphere was warm and convivial and the meal was delicious. Definitely book ahead as it seems like a popular spot! It's a short walk to the chair lift which takes you up the steep face of The Nut to the Summit Circuit - a fairly easy 2.7k walk if you don't mind a few stairs - the beautiful heath, ocean views and patches of woodland magic are really special.
The stairs are not designed for goofy people carrying heavy suitcases :) But that is part of the charm of these lovely old buildings - they have weird stairs, small doors, things like that.
Great location and fantastic atmosphere. The bistro was also great.
