Fun, fantastic and so much fun!

Newcastle is a bustling beauty and The Lucky Hotel provides lovely and comfy accomodation
Pros:

The staff were considerate and explained how to use the door codes clearly. The room was spotless and tucked away from any potential noise. Everything is supplied as explained. Very pleasant decor.

Cons:

Always a trial, my vegan diet isn't general pub fare. I should have researched the menu before booking, as there are many restaurants in the vicinity.

Ok stay for the others I stayed with, my room not great.
Pros:

Restaurant area and bar had a great vibe

Cons:

I was given a’disabled’ room that was tiny. The shower had no screen or curtain so water flooded the floor which was a slip hazard. I had no hairdryer like the other rooms. Disappointing as I wasn’t offered the option.

Comfortable with reservations
Pros:

Very central for what we needed. Parked the car and walked or used public transport for the weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful. Noise from the bar was minimal and to be expected with the World Cup on.Bed was comfortable and shower pleasant.Check in and check out super easy. Parking station is a very short walk away and I thought it was reasonable for $20 per day. Cheaper parking is available on the street if you can find it.

Cons:

Our bed was in a corner making getting in and out awkward. Perhaps should have upgraded cos the room next to us was better set out.Unfortunately, the tea bags weren't replenished and the stock cupboard was empty. Staff would probably have happily provided some but in the moment we couldn't bother to go find someone.Would be helpful if the hotel had 24/7 drop off parking outside but it finished at 5pm so was permanently occupied.

Great value for money and very central location. Close to everything.

Room was very good, clean and comfortable.
The staff were extremely friendly and the location was fantastic!

Cons:

The reception desk was not manned when I wanted to check in and out. Had to go through to the bar to find someone to help (they were very helpful).

This is how pub stays should be.
Pros:

Gorgeous little room, perfect location, great food, whole place was full of character. Great bars. Really liked the restaurant. Stayed for two nights, ate at the restaurant for both nights. The sort of place I would seek out next time I'm in Newcastle.

Cons:

Can't fault it.
