Bed was comfy, convenient location to shops
Cons:

Had never stayed at a budget ibis so didn’t know what to expect but didn’t realise rooms would be so small. As we stayed on a long weekend we were dissapointed at how much the price was hiked up compared to not peak time as it was triple.
Smoke alarms went off both nights we stayed there & we got woken up and evacuated twice due to people smoking in their rooms.

I understand a no-refund policy however if a death occurs therefore you need to cancel the booking one would think that would warrant a refund or even a partial refund, not at this hotel.

I'm glad I went with Ibis. Great value and easy peasy
Pros:

Was able to get a very affordable last minute room, and was supported through delayed/late check-in without issue.
The kind gentlemen at the desk approved a late check out after only 1 night stay.

Cons:

Limited and unfavourably positioned power points. No extention lead etc.to get around it. My phone battery is bad and need to essentially keep it charging. Therefore needed to stand awkwardly for a while to do things. A basic extention chord would have come in handy

Cons:

The property was fine for an affordable one-night stay while attending an event in Newcastle. However, the bathroom had a really unpleasant smell, which became significantly worse whenever the water was running. I ended up avoiding using the shower altogether because of it. It may be an issue with old plumbing, but unfortunately, it really impacted the stay and the ability to freshen up in the morning. While the accommodation was reasonably priced and served its purpose, I probably wouldn’t stay again due to this issue.

Everything the walls had mould the kitchen had mould the fridge had mould. There was mould everywhere smelled of mould right through the room shower bathroom mould.Coffee cups on sink we’re all dirty inside had not been washed.
