It located in its own little town with food and bars so you don’t have to travel far and can walk
I didn’t have more time lol
Breakfast was good, the selection were amazing.
DA Courtney from Durham charged my card twice during check in.
My kids enjoyed the pool. The beds were comfortable. It was very spacious. Breakfast was delicious. It smelled amazing!
They need to make a one-way in one way out line for breakfast. I did get a little bit chaotic down there. They need more luggage carts. With the amount of people they have staying there, I think they only have two.
Breakfast was outstanding, our room was spacious and very clean. Can't wait to stay at Embassy Suites in the future. Only complaint was about the noisy neighbors, but the staff were kind and were able to resolve the matter.
The only complaint was about the noisy neighbors, but the staff were kind and were able to resolve the matter.
Was able to get a early check in..was there for a big baseball tournament & it was good to be able to get all checked in earlier
Everything was amazing
Breakfast was good. Everything was good. The staff was very nice
Only thing I didn't like was the pillows
Great locations, amenities, and amazing staff!
Breakfast messy and unorganized. There were no plates for the longest time (greater than 10 min).
Located in a newer town square, close to Carowinds. Movie theatre, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Hotel is very nice, breakfast was great. Room was spacious and clean. Bar was fun, compimentary drinks at 5pm.
Nothing
Clean looking hotel and had a decent breakfast. Dinner was good as well
The shampoo and conditioner were basically empty, the extra towels requested were not supplied at first.
Clean. Easy to locate
The food was not of the quality I expected
BREAKFAST: Wonderful flare and this ES met the bar for variety, freshness, and pleasant staff. However my time was enhanced with the culinary skill by Ms. Alice. The wait staff were great too.
OUTSIDE PATIO: solid vibe w/ not one but 2 firepits. Some of the furniture worn due to being exposed to the elements. Still we sat out there and vibed with other guests and alone too. It was nice hideaway spot :-)
POOL: It closed at 10, which is manageable but we opted to visit it at the start of the day to avoid the influx of youth. Doing so, had us walk in on an unkempt area with social hour food leftovers, towels tossed about, but quiet none the less.
Consider having arriving morning staff swing by both the pool & fitness area before it opens to guests. Some of the pool tools (chair lift & rails) were rusted. There is no hot tub :-(
GYM: typical flare and almost always empty. It is tucked away down this hallway near the pool and a side door to the patio area.
CHECK-IN/FRONT DESK: Seeing someone in 2026 wearing a mask at the desk devoid of mentioning if it is for illness reduction or for an actual illness, was off-putting.
THAT team member was standoffish, placed the room key on the desk vs handing it to us. (Which is cool, as we too were hesitant to "touch" them due to the mask wearing). Overall her level of customer service was low for an ES property.
Was she sick? (Then call out), unhappy (you have a job).
Also, the bag of water was not offered until asked & the response rendered was it is for guests only - (a room key was just given) and we are guests dear (gold tiered guests).
Certain bags had chips protruding from them - (our bag was devoid of any snacks).
There were plenty of luggage carts. The parking canopy near the front entrance is rather tight and gets full "really" fast.
One young male at the front counter had a very refreshing personality & wardrobe during our stay. Another staffer named Noelle was too a memorable ES staffer.
ROOM: It was a tight (limited space) layout. There is no separating door from living / lounge space. The bed layout & nightstands limit movement to them and from them. Lovely blue lamps!
The curtains (not blackout) as they permitted far TOO MUCH light in.
The hairdryer timed out on us - and the lotion was out.
TV channels were off - (the satellite streaming stations not playing what was advertised). Kinda sucked to think a vintage show was on to find out it was something else entirely.
Otherwise everything else was a chill ES stay.
OTHER VENUE FACILITIES: In the cul-de-sac there are at least 2 other Hilton properties. Be mindful of that, and work to secure parking EARLY as it is a rather slim (width wise) but long parking lot. A few spots are tree lined, which helped to cool off the car.
They have car charging stations at a neighboring Hilton.
Some guests had their dogs walking around and a few bday and graduation parties were going on in the banquet rooms, but they all kept to themselves and quiet. The layout of the hotel was odd and certain rooms were really far from the ice machine and elevator. Certain floors the ice machine was inoperable (devoid of any outage signs).
There are many shops, eateries within walking distance. A Wal-Mart is about a mile away and so is Carowinds. You can see some of the rides from your room.
SOCIAL HOUR: As previously stated by many other reviewers 'Mr. A' was amazing. He is a WHOLE vibe by himself. (Speaking of being alone, night one the crowd was manageable), but on night 2 of our 3 night stay we was swamped. Somuchso, it made me want to come out of retirement and help him out. I was looking for some hand sanitizer, lemon wedges, orange slices and whatnot. LOL
The snacks ran out fast due to some soccer kids being there....(need I say much more)?
This is a good property in an upscale retail area. Rooms are nice. There is a huge bar, if you are a drinker. The restaurant staff are nice, but the facilty is underwhelming for a property of this size. Parking is horrible. Three Hilton properties share the same lot. Don't leave the property after 9p or you'll be street parking. The manager never bothered to return my call about a complaint.
