It was better than sleeping in my car.
I booked this room five months in advance, with check-in listed at 3:00 p.m. We arrived at 2:55 p.m. and were told our room was not ready. Several other guests were also sitting in the lobby waiting for rooms. It took another hour, involvement from the manager, and what appeared to be a rushed housekeeping job before we could finally check in.
The room was spacious, but outdated and poorly maintained. The carpet was strange and worn, the closet doors were broken, the shower curtain had tears and visible mold, the tile was cracked and broken, and the wallpaper was peeling. The towels had stains that appeared to have been poorly treated, the shampoo dispenser was empty, and there was trash from previous guests under the bathroom credenza.
The manager repeatedly explained that the hotel had been sold out the night before and would be sold out again in the coming days. That is not an acceptable excuse. A hotel’s responsibility is to manage staffing, turnover, and occupancy so guests receive the clean, ready room they reserved by the posted check-in time.
I will not stay here again.

I liked the people who drove the shuttle and the people at the front desk. I arrived at 10:00 pm and left at 4:30 am so have little to say except that I was satisfied. I had a small yogurt for breakfast that the night person, who unlocked the refrigerator gave me.
