Fabulous hotel and wedding venue
Pros:

Stayed overnight for a friend’s wedding. Beautiful hotel in spectacular setting among the golf courses. Staff were helpful and polite. We were very lucky to be upgraded to a suite on arrival. Wow, what a beautiful room with a four poster bed and separate area with sofas etc. Very large and well equipped bathroom. Lovely private outdoor area with table and chairs overlooking the greens. Our friends were delighted with their wedding package. One of the owners came in person to the reception to check they were happy with everything. All who attended were very impressed by the staff, hotel and venue.

Lovely place to stay. Food was great, golf course looked good (I didn’t play), and staff were nice.

Nice place to stay away from the bustle of a city centre
Pros:

Really nice venue on the outskirts of Derby. Very well looked after - new carpets etc. Room very nicely appointed and breakfast choices were great

Cons:

Air-con units outside were very noisy in the night

Clean comfortable room in a nice location
Pros:

All staff were very welcoming and attentive. Although the room was a good size it was a little dated and had too much furniture. However was clean and comfortable. Had a few meals in Roosters which is on site, and the breakfast had plenty of choice. The hotel is set on a golf complex so ideal for those who play.

Cons:

Little patio area was a nice touch, but needed some attention.

Lovely countryside location & air conditioning!
Pros:

Air con a boon in such hot weather. Good food - I had room service and there was extensive menu. Pretty grounds. All staff v helpful. Extensive parking as a golf course too.

Pros:

Simon was an absolute star from start to finish, he arranged an afternoon tea for
24 people for our wedding reception.
Perfect service and food, so attentive couldn’t do enough to make sure our afternoon was perfect.

Beautiful place to have lunch with friends
Pros:

We visited on the 26th June, the weather was lovely, we sat in the garden. Our order was taken at the table, the food arrived promptly, and was delicious. The service is always impeccable. Such a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

Excellent and air con much appreciated as it was 33oC outside.
Pros:

Staff were very helpful and polite and made us feel welcome. Golf course delightful and looked very well maintained. Great golf bar. Lovely restaurant. Daily friendly and buzzy.

Cons:

Beds need replacing. Pillows not the best. Real coffee bags would be good. And some body lotion and dressing gown. Or a note that they weren't supplied.

Fabulous all round
Pros:

We stayed over to celebrate a friend's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone who greeted us and served us were professional but friendly. The party had a bbq and we also enjoyed a very delicious breakfast... spot on thank you.

Breath of fresh air

Excellent Hotel with great facilities and comfortable large bedrooms.
Pros:

The check in was quick and efficient and booked us for dinner in the evening.
The rooms were very large and comfortable with both a bath and shower and very good quiet air conditioning. There was tea and coffee and complimentary water in the room.
Breakfast had a very good choice and everything was fresh. The cooked breakfast was excellent

Pros:

I had a really enjoyable experience at Morley Hayes Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a perfect setting for a comfortable meal out.
A special mention has to go to Stephanie and Jasmin, who were both incredibly helpful throughout our visit. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly without being intrusive, which really added to the overall experience.
The atmosphere was also a real highlight—elegant yet relaxed, with a lovely ambience that made the whole meal feel special. Overall, it was a very pleasant visit, and the excellent service combined with the great setting made it one I would happily recommend and return to.

Party perfection!
Pros:

I held my 60 th birthday party here last Saturday, 20 June. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly, accommodating and helpful both during the booking process the lead to the event and throughout the evening. Nothing was too much trouble. I can’t fault the event, the food was amazing, the staff are incredible and it made for the most perfect evening. A few of us stayed in the hotel overnight and the service and rooms were gorgeous and so was breakfast! I love coming here and will recommend in a heartbeat. Thank you for making my birthday so memorable.
